Those Luxardo cherries are the snizzle!
Round 3 - Knob Creek 9yr Single Barrel Reserve, 120 proof. The wife threw in the towel, so I’m alone for this round. :meh:

The winner, by unanimous decision (because I am the only one conscious), is Knob Creek 9yr Single Barrel Reserve, 120 proof. Just like my Amaretto Sours, I prefer a full proof Bourbon.

2nd place goes to the 12 year over the 9 year, but not by much. At the price, it’s probably better suited for sipping. And now that it placed 2nd in the Whiskey Advocate Top 20 Whiskies of 2020, it’s going to be hard to find. Good thing I now have 7 bottles.

Drinking some grog tonight. Pusser’s british navy rum, lime juice and touch of grapefruit juice. Fun fact: members of the British Royal Navy were given rations of rum up until sometime in the 70s. They would add rum to the water supply on the ship to kill bacteria and drink it with lime juice to prevent scurvy. So basically sailors were walking around a little bit tipsy all day long. Cheers!

Trying some Dark and Stormys tonight. ( beer chasers)
3/4oz fresh lime Juice
4oz Ginger Beer
2oz Goslings Dark Rum (3oz ;))

Just picked up a bottle of Goslings. I'm not a fan of some of the other dark times I've had but this one was recommended to me as another chance. Good idea to break it in!
I like dark rums a lot especially for mixed drinks.
Meyers is too sweet but Goslings maybe jusssst right !
