Too late to submit my last set of customs to HOF? (3 Viewers)

For the record, I choose not to get bent out of shape when these buys go down. I try to avoid picking sides but I hate what it does to the community. They are just poker chips (albeit some of them are pretty awesome) and life goes on with or without them.

That said, I don’t want to get too deeply involved and will step away from the keyboard:). Keep on chipping!

nicely done chicken rob et al! I have no clue what the other sets look like or who got what, but it sounds like you guys scored some THC customs, which is obviously pretty cool. Congrats!

To everyone else... If you're new here, as you've guessed by now, there's a lengthy back story to all this drama. But HQ posting this thread isn't him wanting to engage with PCF or share this score in some way with the community. This is 100% him trolling those who were in the previous GB and trying to get people bitching again. The only post he's had on PCF prior to posting this pic since before Thanksgiving was "I'll take them" in some random classified listing. His entire purpose in posting this pic with no back story at all, then seemingly running away (while regularly refreshing the thread) was to get drama stirred back up here. Then when it ensues, he says "you guys are being mean to me, I quit!" Obviously, this was his plan all along.

If you're not new here, then you either already knew this or haven't cared to pay attention.

Wow, where did you dredge that up from?! No dinosaurs. Or accountants. Or accounting dinosaurs, alas!

I'm perplexed why some folk are demanding to "know the story". I wouldn’t rock up to someone's CPC set-reveal thread and demand an explanation.

I guess the boat buy scars run deep!

To the best of my knowledge, no-one got (m)any extras so chances of being sold any chips at boat-chip prices are minimal. :)

Since he's quit the forum, I doubt we'll be seeing any more Harlequin Card Room pics.

The next set should be up in a week or so. Despite how this thread has played out, the owner still wants to do a proper job taking nice shots for everyone to enjoy.

There sure are a lot of people coming out of the wood works that have not been posting publicly the last few months. I understand this is a revenge post and I will stay out of the politics of it. Hopefully it doesn't fracture the community even more.

On a happier note, now that Paulson has printed the ES/AS/Harlequin/other sets, they can't print them again right? They are basically not able to make money on those designs since they are public? What are the chances if we make a template email and have enough people email them daily or weekly that they will cave and let PCF do a massive group buy on the chips that have already been "discontinued"? In my opinion it would be stupid of them to not take the money and we could offer 25-50 cents per chip over base price. Seems worth a try. Kind of like asking a company to buy all of their useless/out dated designs for more money than their current ones.

Rainman has been posting recently.

The set design has nothing to do with them not being sold to the public. It’s all about the security and exclusivity of the product which is now referred to by GPI as “casino currency” rather than poker chips.

How good it was to have 2 forums...so at least both parties had an open forum to communicate with all the neutral long time members that have no side in this.
I permanently lost contact with several members after the take down (NOFI or personal)

I was not talking about Rainman lol. Sorry for the confusion. Others in this thread must have come back for this.

I get the security, but these chips already compromise that, if a casino ever used the design there would already be chips exactly like them in the wild, they might as well keep printing them for the home market since casinos cannot use the same chips safely.

Even if Paulson already realized this, they are on the horns of a dilemma here: Reusing these designs officially would send two dooming messages to their core customers:
  1. we fucked up our security and let private individuals order chips - two times even - so your chips are no longer as safe as we promised
  2. we deem these customers here to be fraudulent so we'll just cancel about any security there might have been left on them by making new chips with the exact same design - better hope we don't deem YOU to be fraudulent too
I'd assume Paulson will come to the conclusion it's best for their business to just stick their heads in their asses and act like there never have been any suspicious chip purchases.

Kinda hard when a very close copy of the WSOP chips were made during STAR buys (and not a batch of 500 chips)

Obtaining custom Paulson chips is treated as an insurmountable task, so when someone is able to accomplish it, people are naturally curious about how it was done. That's not the case with CPC.

I'm just looking forward to more pron.

I think if anyone had the time or the administrative rights to cull through the thousands of deleted posts related to the star chips, you would not find much trolling or criticism from HQ. The treatment that was bestowed upon him in this thread seems more of a reflection on his group of known associates. People seem to be chomping at the bit to call out the perceived hypocrisy of some ex forum members, but in this case they are only projecting. Its the same Mob/Mean Girl mentality that they were once so opposed, and they may have thrown away their chance to get the last word when they had those people banned.

People wanted all the details, and then were disappointed when they got them. I am not sure what private information @bivey has, or what he is planning to reveal. There were no Dummy Companies, no fake Wiki Pages, No Overseas intermediaries, and no Misrepresentation to GPI. I would encourage him to share what he knows. Nobody has anything to hide and none of the involved parties are in a position to censor him. I would be willing to bet that any missing details are most likely false, as the truth is really pretty simple and boring.

They are stunning chips, and LOL at whoever pointed out the shitting parrot. I cant unsee it either, but I love it!

We should still try. It is minimal effort to send an email. If enough people email maybe it will make them reconsider the home market or sell us some chips to shut us up.
