Too late to submit my last set of customs to HOF? (4 Viewers)

We should still try. It is minimal effort to send an email. If enough people email maybe it will make them reconsider the home market or sell us some chips to shut us up.

You don't think some 40+ emails were fired off over the weekend to GPI Gaming Staffers with the leaked photos of these sets attached to see what would be possible, or if anyone would get a response?

Chippers have been emailing, calling, and harassing GPI through various managers, sales reps., and distributors for years. It is doubtful that they will change a firm company security policy because we keep finding ways to sneak around it.

Just sayin'.

Sigh,

No.

The answer is no. GPI doesn’t care about your money.

Sigh, I was expecting your answer to be more like this:

In all honesty, I have to disagree with what you're telling Saleen here. Some of the most epic sets we've seen over the last 18 months have been made by those dedicated chippers who refuse to "let it go." And right now there are probably 2-3 new groups gathering their forces to work on other ways to get around Paulson/GPI security protocols. It's kind of the nature of this place. For better or worse.

People now know GPI security can be beaten. And repeatedly at that. So to think this or the Star sets will be the "very last private Paulson group buy" is just folly.

You just told him the same thing I did 5 posts before me???? I only did it with a song  Sending an email to bug them about it won't change their minds

I think people are scared of the "chip economy" crashing, but I seriously think we can bug them/explain enough to open the doors for ALL PCF members to get mint chips from Paulson. IF we banded together and worked hard at it...

Yes, but the inline link to the 183 Paulson staffers on LinkedIn was my own little wink-wink-nudge-nudge to him to not give up. ;) :ROFLMAO:

Pro tip... first rule about Secret Paulson Group Buy is to not talk about Secret Paulson Group buy. You're starting off on the wrong foot here Saleen!

No more secrets. Let's try and do the next one different. I will start a thread eventually and the people who want to try can, the nay sayers who can't send an email because in their opinion it won't matter can ignore it. If it fails oh well, at least I tried and offered to include anyone. If there is a shot at buying mint Paulson's at cost everyone on this forum should be willing to copy and paste an email, but if you don't want moar chips that is fine also.

I think getting everyone to band together would be much more difficult than getting GPI to agree to sell to the public, but you're certainly welcome to try.

Very much this. I think the reason there has been success is that the groups were smallish, which in my mind means an easier time in the design phase. Getting a large group to agree on design in a short amount of time would be a nightmare. From what I understand, there is also a large amount of cash needed to go ahead with no guarantee of success or even getting money back. There seems to be a fair amount of risk, though the reward certainly can be worth it.

I may only be speaking for myself, but my real enjoyment with this hobby is sharing my chips with others. Honestly, what good are chips unless you can put them in play with your friends. That's what meet-ups are for - meeting with friends and sharing cool chips.

I think HQ's chips are beautiful and I hope to get the chance to play with them someday. I don't want or need to own them. I'm just happy he was able to get them.

Jason, you are welcome at my games anytime, and I hope I am welcome at yours. My first meet-up memory is you coming down the stairs at DCS and raising blind and somehow winning the pot, "I must have raised with something" :cool

I 100 percent agree with this and the secret aspect, my strategy would be to choose chips from the already released sets and see if they would be willing to sell them to the forum as a whole since they have already created them/released them into the wild. Others could be right, just because they messed up does not mean they will continue to mess up, but man would it be nice to get some of the 8vs or 818s from the boat chips and this set. Little mix and match to make a dream set from what we have available (they clearly don't consider these chips "available".... yet).

I just feel like if its low effort and high reward people might want to try it. Maybe I am the only one.

The way I personally look at all of the GBs private buys whatever:

More new pretty chips made by people that cared so much they went to insane lengths to get them made. If that means only a handful or less or more order so be it, but new chips are a GOOD thing.

There are far too many whiney bitches on this forum who think they deserve to be involved with everything. Make friends, create a group and see how much work you have to do and how far you would go to protect it.

Also no one is owed an explaination, back story or anything, fucking snowflakes.

@H|Q Good for you on the chips! I hope to see more PRON one day.

In my experience in life so far low effort and high reward rarely go hand in hand

Tell me about it. Do you have any idea how many snowflakes I had to deal with over the weekend??? (why did I move back to upstate NY?)

About as many as us! It was fun playing with the little ones outside though.

The wife has finally gone from "I'm never moving back to Vegas" to "When we move back on Vegas". She started looking at houses!
