Yes Paulson, I REALLY need a separate chip set per table that gets replaced before any hooker juice starts to stick. Also each table has its own poker room name and I need to have complete design control. That's doable right?

It doesn't seem like anyone is upset that new, beautiful chips were made. It doesn't seem like anyone is demanding a backstory except for one guy that seems to know the story and wants it shared. Most people are just curious how the most precious of chips came to be, and most of all, they just want the same thing. That sounds like a rationale human being, not "whiney bitches" and "snowflakes." Most of the mild complaints have been in this vein, "This could could have been shared in a better way." And, it could have been shared in a better way. No one is perfect, and I can excuse the minor faux pas.

Go for it Saleen. HQ tried many times and failed (though he came very close), before finally hitting paydirt.

I think one of the hurdles is you need to educate GPI that their current Mint Paulson Chips that they offer to the public are not compelling to the chip hobbyists.

I think some that participated in this current private buy were hoping that most of us would behave the way they did during the last private buy, but that hasn’t been the case.

I'm at a complete loss because I wasn't around for the, what I can only call, Original Sin. It seems to have created some hardened hearts, though.

I moved a little over 5 years ago, so the whole time I've been on PCF I've lived in upstate NY (outside Albany). Before that I liked in the MD/DC area for 18 years, aside from a couple years I spent in the Chicago area (Evanston) for grad school.

Ah OK. So nothing recent. I was like I thought I remember sending a package to that area, but figured my memory was off.
 
It's been a very boring morning... so much that I actually typed "cop-hating stalker psychopath chip-flipping weasel" into the Google, hoping it would show me some sort of amusing cartoon illustration -- you know, maybe an anthropomorphic weasel leaning against the wall, cigarette in his mouth, flipping a chip in his hand, with a old-style hat on, binoculars hanging around his neck...

Sadly, Google let me down.

I think we should abandon this train of thought and posting that people shouldn't even try. Two Paulson buys have happened.

The first group to try had the above mindset and took a lot of precautions that probably weren't necessary. The second buy saw that it could be done and did it successfully again.

It has been said that GPI doesn't care about our money. I think that is something that we created because GPI chose not to sell directly to us. AFAIK that statement has never come out of GPI's offices. GPI is not a huge company. Their security concerns are lip service as GPI approved a set of chips that closely resembled another rack and then presumably sold several sets of chips knowinly for home game use to a casino's VIP's.

Buying chips from GPI can be done. It's how to do it that is tough.

@Mr Tree this is in no way throwing shade in your direction, you absolutely could be right, but I don't necessarily see that based on things have gone down recently.

This is not fact. This is the truth as you see it. GPI doesn't care about me personally, but they care about money and orders.

I'm not looking to debate. Buying from GPI can be done, it's been tested and proven.
