I’m no ones hero. The community has been torn apart with jealousy over these direct Paulson buys. While I do not object to anyone pulling it off, I do object to the bullshit that has occurred by and between members. Those who know me well know that I do not tolerate people shitting on others. I don’t mean to stir the pot, but why would it be up to anyone else except the buyer to divulge the information? I understand that the boat chips caused a rift in the community, and we all want custom Paulsons, but I don’t really believe it should be anyone else’s place to spill the details except the buyer.

Of course, there may be some aspects that I don’t fully understand or even know about.

No offense taken at all! I hadn’t been on PCF for quite a while when the boat chips venture took place, so I have a very limited scope of what happened and how it has affected everyone.

I get that, but you can tell by teasing photographs and the inside joke language, that there's some intentional showboating going on. Whatever. I'm new here, and didn't experience whatever in the hell the boat chip incident is. I only got on here to get information so I can build a custom CPC set (which I'm going to love.)

I'd love to know the story, but who said anything about throwing eggs? It's pure curiosity on my part, no ill intentions. I don't understand what the negative ramifications could be, maybe someone could enlighten me?

I personally celebrate the ingenuity/tenacity of anyone who goes what I only imagine to be great lengths and lots of $$ to get custom Paulson chips made. I don't ever foresee myself putting in the work. These types of custom buys should be celebrated IMO.

No, I know the irony. I don’t know the true story about the original GB either, as I’ve heard 2 sides. Of course, there are always 3 sides to every story..

My personal view: I agree, but unlike the prior buy’s fallout (mostly instigated/caused by some of those in this recent buy who intentionally outed the prior buy with malice), I don’t really think anyone is looking to slag you or anyone else. In fact, many of us who were in the prior buy were well-aware that your buy was going on, but held our tongues. I’d posit that we treated you the way we had wished we were treated. And I, for one, had my name dragged through the mud on CD by those I considered friends—some of whom were the organizers of your buy; and yet it would have never occurred to me to blow it up or slag anyone on the forum.

I’d like to point out that the only chips I own in playable quantities are my own customs. Again, I’ve heard 2 stories on the person no longer allowed here.. and I’m sure parts of each are true, but neither are 100% accurate.

Also, I’d like to point out, I always treat people the way I’d like to be treated. I wouldn’t have it any other way

I think that it's amazing that someone(s) is getting custom Paulsons on this mold. AWESOME and CONGRATS! I'd love my own set of custom-designed Paulson's some day as much as anyone one here; but personally I refuse to be jealous or have any negative energy about this. If someone has worked an angle to get these and even invited some of their trusted friends here to help or get involved - great. Maybe someday I'll get that chance. I've met some great people on here and this forum is a great way for me to share my passion for chipping. Just Thankful and excited to see what exciting chips there will be to see and enjoy next! Thanks to everyone for keeping this a (mostly) positive place! ...and excited to see the stacks of these when they are available for posting!

I respect you and everything you are saying.

I guess if we could just admire the chips and be done I would keep my mouth shut.

There are parties on all sides that have trolled and prodded. All sides fucked up and now we’ve lost the participation of some great chippers (even if some of them have pissed me off something fierce).

My goal here is to put an end to the mudslinging, the trolling and sometimes bullying, and the hurt. I want to preserve the community that two years ago was kick ass.

For my part, I apologize for stirring the pot here. But if history is any indication, the speculation about where these chips come from is laced with “egg” and leads to rifts.
