Upcoming molds......... (31 Viewers)

You’ve come to the right place for help. My best advice is take your time, get some cpc color samples, and to look at other custom sets and color combinations you find interesting/inspiring.
I’ve been procrastinating on purchasing a sample set, but you’re right. I’ll start there! Wish I was able to see some samples with spot colors.

Alright so now the biggest question is, are there any Label/inlay designers available? I think I can figure out the rest, but this is my next biggest hurdle.

These are my favorite designs, I really like that anime looking design. “Poker lounge 76”.

Can we keep this thread on track for upcoming CPC molds...
Spoke with David this morning. For those keeping score at home, there's one month left to get everything for FDL in. I asked about Jockey mold, running again between September and November of this year :wow:

No plans for large crown yet. No pending orders in the queue.

Wow…jockey mold up again….

I will put an sos out again. If anyone has a jockey order I can add a rack to, I’d appreciate it.

Bummer about Large Crown. I was thinking about a set but don’t want to be the only order and have it sit in the queue forever.

Surprising nobody has an order in for large crown. I’m really curious how many sets are in any queues right now. Seems so quiet on the CPC custom front lately.

When I emailed David about when I should place the Large Crown order about a month ago, the response I got was, no Large Crowns are in the queue. As of now, there is not a planned run of Large Crown unless he gets some orders.

I have a big DISQR order in, and it includes some test runs for future orders. Depending on how the test run goes, and whether I’m included in the upcoming April layoffs, I could have an LCrown order between 200 and 1,000. Will let you know.

The only time I've gotten a chip with all double split 1/8" spots is 6DS18
Uh-oh, I have got some 6DS18s in my upcoming FDL order...just curious, did this happen back when they were having split spot issues or at a different point in time after they had fixed same?

I thought it was largely dependant on the spot colors and base.
That was my understanding too, no warnings were on my color choices. I'm sure it will be fine but was just curious about the background on his experience. No going back now though :)

Doh! Nonononono, it's an unfortunate similarity between the spot name and the condition:

6D18 = six double 1/8" spots, the pattern has six sets of two 1/8" spots, where the spots in each set are together:

6DS18 = six double split 1/8" spots - the pattern has six sets of two 1/8" spots, where the spots in each set have a space between them:

I'm going to refer to the spot as "double spaced" going forward lol. There were no issues with split spots (where a split shows on the edge of the chip) on the chips I was referring to.

And guys - it's 3/16" spots, not 1/6". My engineer brain is twitching here lol

I fairly confident that when it says 316 it means (three) 1/6” spots… so it is 1/6”
So 3DS316 means three double split three 1/6” spots

If that were the case, the corresponding 1/8" spot version would be called 3DS318 - three groups of three 1/8" spots.

There's a hair over a 1/64" difference between the two so we're obviously talking semantics here, it's just that 1/6" is a really goofy non-standard measurement (ie you won't find it on a tape measure). It might as well be in MM..... :wtf:

edit to add:

Similar story to the 3916 spot pattern, this is three 9/16" spots (a hair bigger than the 1/2" spots)

Funny that I get invited to find all kind of information for CPC orders here, then get bashed for asking questions by @Venturalvn . Then the rest of the group goes ahead and has full on conversations regarding spot coloring. Hmmm, seems like he’s picking on the new guy …

I wouldn't take it as that. I see where he's coming from in the sense that this thread is for keeping up to date on the latest molds going into the rotation, when a certain mold is running again, etc.

I'm always happy as are many others here to provide feedback and bounce ideas off of for customs and am happy to give insight on my own experiences with CPC (4 custom sets made with them and counting). This just isn't the place to solicit for feedback is all.

“Bashed” is a strong word to use against @Venturalvn as he is a very well respected and liked member here.

We were being nice to you since you’re new and you clearly didn’t know there are other threads for the sort of questions you were asking… but I’m done with you now rookie.
