Speaking of the incredible responsiveness from David, he emailed me info this morning on the process and left the door slightly open to receiving my BTJ set in time for the 2nd annual birthday poker tournament:
“The [DSQ] run won’t start for a couple months yet. It takes a minimum 3-4 months just to make the clay for an order and then hand-make and assemble every piece one by one before pressing even starts. When it does start, there are 15 orders before yours and some orders can take over two weeks to press. Depending on the complexity of the chip, the yield of the press can be as little as 300 a day.
So in regards to your date, it’s really 50/50 right now.”
