Why are weber grills so expensive? is it worth 399$ for the base model? davin wants a weber grill and i think its stupid to spend 399 on a grill

I have my Weber 16+ years now and still works fine.@Seyff45 has his about the same and it rusted so they gave him all new parts free.
Weber is the only way to go in my book.

Yeah, I got mine for $350. Back in 2000. It's still running on original parts (though the smaller wheels broke under the weight of all the snow in the blizzard, a few years back.

I want this one,

Hopefully your guys comments will pursuade @4Mia

Mine was a gift in 2003. Had an issue with it and called their customer service. They basically replaced the entire thing not once but twice. They've also given me new covers on more than one occasion.

Weber is the only way to go in my book as well

Oh look, they replaced the small wheels with sliders. They must have heard about my blizzard.

By the way this is what we currently have :( I think it was $150 and only lasted 2 years

Yeah I’ve had my Weber well over 10 years. Just replaced the rusted out flavor bars and still running like a champ.

I've got a Napoleon grill - holding up extremely well after 7 years so far. To anybody getting a new grill: I highly recommend an IR side grill if you can. Great for steaks, just brings everything down to accurate timing.

My 18.5” kettle finally gave out after 11 years of abuse. Now I just use the bottom 1/3 of my smoker to grill.

But might need to upgrade this season...hmmmm

Had this Grill ...maybe a top end CharBroil (not saying much). Or possibly a lower end Kenmore?

Replaced it with THIS grill (after 4 years), a Kenmore Elite. It has double the wall thickness of the basic Kenmore grills, and has pretty much the same internals and specs as the comparable Weber. I did a lot of research. Grills like a boss. For less. This unit was around $1100 ($800 on sale) iirc

Here’s the grill on Sears (in cash you want to look at the Kenmores (bargain Weber’s). http://www.sears.com/kenmore-elite-4-burner-carbon-grey-metallic-gas/p-07148593000P?unitNo=

I've always been a weber fan, but I think my next grill will be one of these
I want more control and the ability to raise and lower the grill is what I want

Costco used to have a Santa Maria for sale...vendor is the same as the website you listed.

I only use charcoal and oak when cooking outside. Have a 20 year old original Weber for burgers, steaks, chicken pieces, etc.; a Santa Maria for tri-tip and spatchcock chicken; and a LyfeTyme smoker for brisket, ribs, slow cookin...
