I got to play Oak Hill East Course last week, which is hosting the PGA in May 2023. Wish I took more pictures, this is the 2nd hole. Course was crazy difficult

Sure there is a smart path around the golf course, but I don't PAY greens fees to go out there and layup. Go for the hero shot, all the time!

Well, two completely unbelievable things happened last weekend

1. Scored my first Eagle, ever! Short Par 5, hit my drive almost 300, screwed up my approach shot and landed short/ right of the green, about 30 yards away from the pin, then chipped in for the precious 2 under!

2. I proceeded to chip in on the next two holes,three in a row overall!

I'm not sure which one is more amazing, or maybe its that I still managed to shoot 100

Started my round out with a 12 last weekend! I'm an 18 handicap that has been playing better than I have in a long time lately. Still managed to finish with an 89. I don't ever remember scoring above 10 on a hole before ever.

First ever competition I played in I scored a 14 on the 1st hole. Hit my drive into the woods and somehow managed to find my ball. Didn’t know about taking a penalty shot so just hacked my way out of the trees. My utility club should have been a machete

A summer of just terrible golf has raised me up to a 14.1 index. Most of the rounds I played this year were walking with my 12 year old son. Plus is that he is really having fun and taking to the game. Minus is I am more worried about what he is doing and tend to not think about what I should be doing. I would take that trade every time, the raise in index has been worth it.
