I 've only been there as a soldier, 25 years ago, for forrest-preservation, anti-fire (and harsh rural acclimatision) purposes.
My first and last (for the time being) Confession lasted about an hour, 'cause it turned out to be a profound philosophical discussion. At Simon's Rock (Simonopetra) Monastery.
The rest of the guys in my platoon were furious: "How many sins did you have asshole, to keep us waiting here for an hour"

I have not been able to make it out there. It would be incredible to make the trip.
