Love Alabama Shakes. Brittany Howard has some pipes, and is a decent guitar player too. I didn't care much for her solo album so hoping the band gets back together for a new recording soon.

Not sure I understand the question. Who is the "he" you're referring to? I don't really know any of the other members names besides Brittany, the lead singer.

I believe all the members grew up and went to high school together. Brittany also writes most of the songs.

theres some artists you hear and are like WOW! then check out their catalogue and are a little disappointed,

I was late to the Iron and Wine Party so was soooo happy when i found them, he had about 5 albums already released. VERY HAPPY!


And then theres the time i heard a track by Gaslamp Killers.. apparently its the ONLY track i like from them LOL.

actually, thats not fair, i think they are good, i just wanted more of Nissim.

Well... I spent my day downloading old Loretta Lynn Christmas songs. Checking out some of this newer stuff you guys are posting made me want to sing one with my buddy Rain Meida of my favorite band Our Lady Peace! Seen them about 8 times in clouding my first concert in 1998 with Eve 6 and Third Eye Blind!

And unfortunately listening to my favorite Canadian rock band made me think of this beauty... sorry if you are not a fan of SKA .... you join Ms. Brie who was not impressed with my 30 minutes straight of singing Christian Ska from the late 90s...

For our northern friends... some Ben music!!

And just for the record the hardest Christian rock song I ever heard! Ahh the good ole days

I like it! Not sure why I never really went down the Ska path. I love bands with horns. (like Revivalists above, and Chicago, of course) And Tragic Kingdom is one of the best albums ever recorded. Maybe the last REALLY good music Gwen Stefani recorded.

Pagan is probably not far off the mark. There is a huge electric dance festival here called Ultra. I don’t go for these large raves any more but my daughter and her friends get a kick out of my knowing and liking a lot of the music.
