Zero Sievert had been a bit too big a distraction. It's a single player game inspired by Escape from Tarkov and Stalker, except 2D graphics.

My only complaint is the time to loot objects. I get it, but it's pretty unlikely to get killed by an NPC.

It's early access so some bugs/memory leaks, but definitely enjoyable if interested in that style game without wanting multiplayer.

Demon's Souls
Elden Ring
FIFA '23
Evil Dead
Hitman 3
GTA 5 (already have PS4)
Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut

Should I grab anything else?

Just started playing God of War, I’m a little underwhelmed so far…it seems very linear, feels like Tomb Raider.
I hope it opens up a bit.

How far along are you? After a certain point, it gets very open worldy, you can choose what to work on.

Absolutely cannot miss out on this:

I am seemingly forever on the Civ VI grind. With new leaders just released I'm going back to add them to the "completed" list. For whatever reason the game just checks the right boxes for me.

Any Guybrush Threepwood fans out there playing the new Monkey Island?
(Not that you’d admit it.) :ROFLMAO:
Not yet, but it's top of the list for my Xmas break.

I grew up on point and clicks, and the Monkey Island series was by far one of my favorites.

I just found the fan expansion/mod for Slay the Spire, Downfall. And my god is it amazing.

A new hero with a very interesting mechanic. And on to of that, you can play as 7!!! bosses all with their own crazy mechanics and different events as you DESCEND the spire and fight the heroes as the bosses of each act.

Chef's kiss.

I love Beach Spikers, got a new phone so now it goes where I go!

I tried the Forspoken Demo this morning. Meh. Not really impressed. Just another generic open world action RPG. What really caught me off guard was the amount of F bombs. The main character just drops them all the time for basically no reason, "finally a place to fucking sleep." I'm no prude or anything, but not something I'm accustom to in this type of game. And basically makes it an instant no go with kids, which is a shame given it's a magical action adventure.

Have you tried mount and blade 2 Bannerlord?
Medieval grand strategy /RPGs/ open battle sim....

Total time sink, plus less nickeled content than civilization games. I still have not played #6, waiting on a sale of the total content selection

I have not. In fact, Civ VI is the first "4x" game I've played, at least with any lasting play time. I've fallen off of gaming a lot in recent years, but for some reason Civ VI is my comfort game at this point.

I'll have to take a look at your suggestion - can't hurt to have more content from another game! :)

Anyone else pre-ordered or getting Hogwarts Legacy? I was on the fence mostly because I just don't have the time for it really. But my wife kinda demanded we get it. As such, my early access starts tonight/tomorrow at midnight, meaning neither of us will actually play it until Tuesday night probably.

Just completed Crash 1 from the n-sane trilogy (all trophies) and have now reached 50% of the 2.

Getting the gold relic on stormy ascent took me almost 10 hours I think (spent 2 weeks elapsed on it).

Was waiting for reviews and they seem pretty solid overall. Will probably pick it up as well.

Got Spyro Trilogy and Crash Trilogy for a Humble Bundle, like $15 bucks, one of the greatest sale scores ever for myself lol. Both of them are full on nostalgic. I definitely haven't completed them 100%, just a normal run through, but it's a great game.

I've been LOVING Batman Arkham Knight. I'm just at a point where I don't feel like grinding tough games or sweating in multiplayer, I want to play as a superhero with cool villains. Lot of fun, coming from someone who doesn't even like Batman.
