What video games are you playing? (23 Viewers)

I gave a try to OpenRA yesterday.
Very nice project. It's not Red Alert anymore, more like a more modern RTS game with the original graphics. My cousin and I enjoyed it !

I recently picked up Marvel Snap. It’s quite fun and easy to pick up. If you like CCGs this may be something you may enjoy. The games are super fast and the play mechanics are quite fun.

The first levels are all/mostly bots but that allows you to figure out the game at a relaxed pace (and pick up some cool new cards and upgrades). I can definitely see how they’re looking to monetize the game but I’m having fun without paying a cent.

This just in….Diablo 4 reportedly arriving in April, preorders in December.
Man, if Starfield drops at a similar date, I may be off PCF for a while. :ROFLMAO:
Blizzard hasn't instilled much confidence in me since D3. Not sure how excited I am about D4. D2 is one of my most played games of all time, though I skipped out on the remaster because I don't feel like doing it all again with almost nothing new mechanically.

D3 became a family game for me. Two of my boys would play with me. We have hundreds of hours in the game. Disappointed that the D2 remaster didn't have split screen. Now can only have two people on at a time (with 2 PS4's), so not as fun.

Curious if D4 will have split screen. Not holding my breath.

A friend got me these a few years ago at Blizzcon. My kids like to play heads up sometimes.

My bachelor's party was a Diablo 2 lan party

I don't think I can avoid playing Diablo 4 but I'm with you. I recently reinstalled Diablo 3 and it just felt watered down.

i've been playing death's door for a couple days. pretty nice little indie game - gameplay is fun, not crazy difficult so far at least, and it has an awesome soundtrack.

My recollection of LAN parties was playing Unreal Tournament, some Jedi fighting game, company of heroes, etc

My most played LAN game was also D2. So many hours of mephisto runs and grinding.

Also played D3 for many hundreds of hours, although been a few years now.

Curious to see how d4 turns out.

Actually replaying the the Uncharted series. Beat the first one a couple days ago and now on 2. Such a great series if you like these types of games.
Uncharted 2 is a top 5 game all time for me.

Got Pokemon Scarlet & Violet for me and my daughter. It's astonishing how unfinished it is in some regards.

Gamefreak's next release will probably just be me getting kicked in the junk by the Gamestop employee and I have to fork over $80 CDN for that privilege.

Gamefreak has gotten a lot of flack regarding that. So much so that a lot of people have been bombarding Nintendo with refund demands.

That seems to be a trend these days. COD MWII is definitely playable, but has some major features missing. Crashing was normal for the first couple weeks. They will hopefully add the missing stuff soon and fix the crashing. Looks like they got it as good as they could, then devoted all their time to Warzone.

Go figure, the store is now up and running. So you can buy $24 operator skins.

Some of the DMZ Beta posts are pretty funny though. There's one gun blueprint (M13B) that you have to go to a lab, kill all the goons, make it out alive. Then you have to exfil from the map to keep the blueprint. People were ambushing at the exfil site and stealing the gun. It's not even that good of a gun.

The whole video game industry is based on varying degrees of FOMO. You either get a game / skin / upgrade ASAP so that you get your dopamine hit knowing that you don't suffer from an opportunity cost in the future. I'm having to wait until after Christmas to play God of War Ragnarok because I may get it as a gift, so I have to be very careful on avoiding spoilers online. So for narrative driven games such as that, getting the game on release and blitzing through it prevents trolls from ruining story arcs for you.

I’ve played Clash of Clans every day since 2012. Got 5 accounts now, trying to manage them all.
Supercell has made some great mobile games. I’ve also got 4 accounts on Brawl Stars as well.
