Didn't even realize the typo till now. But I'm satisfied with the result.

I just did a playthrough of cyberpunk, first time playing it since release and can comfirm its worth a try!
Especially now that they've had plenty of time to iron out any bugs or issues from it's release. It's a solid game!

Titanfall 2 remains my favorite FPS of all time. The campaign is short and sweet, maybe 5 hours, which fits your needs, but with a good story and lots of variety in the gameplay. It's also usually dirt cheap, just not on Steam until there's a sale, but you could easily find a cheap 3rd party key or it's like $4 on Epic Games. Highly recommended.
According to some leaks TF|3 might be coming in 2026. News coming at The Game Awards later this year and releasing next year. Take this with a MASSIVE pinch of salt though

Titanfall 3 WAS in the works but EA said no, and it eventually became Apex Legends. That would be awesome news if true.

Yep. These leaks come from some Apex Legends leakers which are quite credible and are a few days old. However with stuff like this, I will believe it when I see it. TF|3 and even a game called Titanfall: Legends were already scrapped by EA/Respawn.

Gotta disagree with you there, Barrie. The true KH goat game was KH2, where the series peaked.
Fricken kingdom hearts. lol what a sh*t show with there being like KH1.5, KH3/4, and them releasing games on different exclusive platforms.

I had to go look up to remember which was which. I get 2 being better from a gameplay perspective, but my heart is tied to 1 simply due to nostalgia. All the Disney movies I grew up watching mashed with the one video game series I played more than any in my childhood - mind blown the first time through.

It was such a convoluted story line for no reason.

that was a long time ago though. i'm not holding my breath either way. probably irrelevant regardless - i'm too old and don't have enough disposable time to get good at a potential TF|3 multiplayer anyway.

Bloodbourne is getting a spiritual successor on the Switch 2.

i was worried i would have to buy a switch 2 just for this game, but it is apparently an online multiplayer PvPvE, so for the same reasons as above, this is very likely to be a skip for me.

Looking for some pc recommendations. Recently picked up a gaming laptop and created a Steam account after not playing any games on Xbox since my son was born 15 years ago. I picked up where I left off with my old Xbox and went straight for Portal 2 and pretty much played it straight through and loved it. Got hooked on Balatro and am enjoying that. Played through Doom 2016 and had fun for a while until I felt like it just got repetitive going from battle arena to battle arena basically having the same fight over and over again (ended up cranking down the difficulty just to get through it). Tried Anti Chamber since it was recommended because I liked Portal and was unimpressed.

Anything else I should be checking out? I only have limited windows to play so open world sprawling games that can go on forever aren’t my thing. I like strategy/puzzle games that are engaging. I also like fps as long as there’s a good story and doesn’t get repetitive like Doom 2016 (and that’s how I felt about Halo back in the day as well. I liked the Call of Duty games from 2000’s, Bioshock, Half Life 2…
Well, you've might've missed Bioshock Infinite then (12 years now). Great single player game with great storyline and shouldn't have potato gfx despite its age.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is an absolute must if you like open world games.
Cyberpunk 2077 is also a great game but is quite heavy on the system requirements.

I honestly don’t remember which bioshock I played on Xbox many years ago but might be worth checking them out again. Are they all recommended or just certain ones?

I don’t like open world games. I like a progression from start to finish since I really only have limited windows to play. Is cyberpunk open world? My system will handle it, I made sure to future proof and got an amped up Lenovo Legion.

Also, Arkham Knight just went on sale on Steam for $4 so am going to give that a whirl this weekend

IMO, only the first BioShock is really good. The others are fine, but not amazing.

Arkham Knight is good. Not as good as City, but still very good.

I've only played Infinite so I wouldn't know about the others.

RDR2 and CP2077 are both open world games, but they still have pretty awesome stories. RDR2 has so many side quest so you can sink a lot of hours there, but you can just do main quests and not miss anything of the story. CP2077 is RPG so just doing main quest might be tough on normal level but they have a couch mode too where the skill level has a really low bar.

Ghost recon wildlands and far cry 5. I want them to bring back Tom Clancy rainbow six vegas / and the first one from the PC classics.

If anyone hasn’t played Outer Wilds, I highly recommend! Definitely in my top 3 all time, and one of the most unique gaming experiences I’ve had.

Really interesting puzzles and mechanics. And it’s a space exploration type game which I thought was fun. It takes about 10-20 hours depending on how thorough you want to be.

Only thing I’ll say is do not look up the game online before you play. It’s way more fun to play completely spoiler-free!
