Best one he has made yet! That caramelized finely chopped onion, jalapeno and cheese mixture is DOPE. Fresh ripe tomato, pickles, and perfectly cooked burger patties.

I ask my kids how the burgers that I cook rate and they say they are second best. Whataburger is still #1 in their book.

IMHO every single "super-burger" is just kinda lame.

In-n-Out, 5 Guys, Fuddruckers (though the ability to top it yourself from a bar, pre-COVID, has some appeal) all pale drastically to a good bar-room burger. You know, where the meat is more than a 1/4" thick. A burger that tastes like beef. Cheese that is thick and gooey, not a thin layer of fat that you barely taste and that just snaps off.

I haven't had Whataburger yet, and will someday try it with an open mind... but if it is actually good, I will be pleasantly surprised.

Used to be a dive near me called The Courtyard and their Courtyard Burger was the bomb. 8oz pattie on a fresh Kaiser roll with 6 slices of deep fried bacon and super chunky, house made blue cheese dressing. Awesome!

The old sesame chicken recipe I used had a lot of ketchup as the base. I found a new one without ketchup which I like better but reviews a split in the family as the kids love the old one.
