The Cajun Cup set is now complete.
Attempted to arrange and take family shot. Failed miserably. Might need to double-stack them.

I'm new to this type of collecting -- what's a good way to assess the value of my collection? I'm posting pictures of the entire small collection here, since I just started. These are the Paulson Top Hat Classics (I think), I bought the entire set for cheap from a friend. There are about 2800 chips in the collection so far.

What's the value of the collection now? I'd be happy to assist in its assessment. Please post pics of the collection in its entirety and I will get onto documenting and calculating straight away.I am officially 1 year old on PCF. As the Dead put it best, (they always did,) what a long strange trip it’s been.

Reminds of my favorite Jerry quote: "“We're like licorice. Not everybody likes licorice, but the people who like licorice really like licorice.”I am officially 1 year old on PCF. As the Dead put it best, (they always did,) what a long strange trip it’s been.
Congrats on the first year Krish. Looking forward to see what the second one will bring.
he knows we would harvest them all. Lol
Would that be considered “chip laundering”? lolAt first I was thinking “hmmm Krish might open a card room so he can order custom paulsons”. But then I realized he’s too smart because he knows we would harvest them all. Lol

As with many other Paulson Fantasy chips, the edge spot designs were taken from a casino that either closed or returned their order (in this case the Golden Eagle), and then used to produce fantasy chips. Grand Casino Hinkley is another prominent example which was turned into a few fantasy chip designs.Originally posted this on another thread, but moved it here. Does anyone know why the Golden Eagle $5 is the exact same chip as a fantasy chip like the Irish Mike $5? Is the Golden Eagle a fantasy casino?

Ah, so the GE is the granddaddy of that fantasy chip?As with many other Paulson Fantasy chips, the edge spot designs were taken from a casino that either closed or returned their order (in this case the Golden Eagle), and then used to produce fantasy chips. Awww, poor Golden Eagle inlay. Why would you insult it so?Also, if there was ever any argument that an inlay can make or break a chip, it’s this one.
Most likely. It’s a bit odd that there weren’t any other denoms produced, but I’d just chalk it up to the chips being meant for a few small-bet table games, as I believe Colorado restricted the maximum bet that could be made on one hand in a casino until recently.Ah, so the GE is the granddaddy of that fantasy chip?
You know I was dissing the Irish Mike inlay, correct?Awww, poor Golden Eagle inlay. Why would you insult it so?
Of course. Adding some humor to the observation is all.You know I was dissing the Irish Mike inlay, correct?
