New arrivals. Need to find this set a suitable $500 chip.

I think the set is perfect the way it is. Not every set you own has to be able to play all the stakes or the majority of the stakes you play.

Given the amount of sets / racks at your disposal you can always pick a set to suit the stakes. Its kind of like picking a wine to go with fish or a different wine for steak.

I can understand finding a replacement you need for a denom to make a set playable but with a store of value chip like a $500 thats effectively the crown jewel of a set to be a "fake" gets my own OCDs going.

With that being said I still look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Stupid fake chips around all of those real chips....

I think that's a valid opinion and feeling.

I, personally, find great joy in discovering chips that can extend a lineup in both directions. There's something magical about finding an odd chip from somewhere that seems to perfectly fit in the mold of a set that's already great. I find it a fulfilling and creative exercise. It doesn't take away from the original set (because none of that is changed,) but when you find the right chip, it can be quite lovely.
