Windwalker’s Chipping Journey in Pr0n0grAph1C Detail (39 Viewers)

Continuing to add high-res versions color-corrected versions of some of my old shoots. This one is a SoCal PCF home game favorite, the Sacramento Casino Fun Room, dubbed on PCF as The Cocaine Giraffes. (The hundo is a @Gear created masterpiece relabel.)

The GOAT Cali set

Recently rented out my Dunes set out to a private game in LA that didn't last very long at all, and the chips are back. Took some quick pics before they go back in the cabinets.

Absolutely incredible!

There is one 25k baccarat chip left at Spinettis, go grab it!

this must keep YOU up at night! also saw you on the youtube last night! wicked hat selections !!
The $1s I bought from you @Mike mac helped complete a rack in the condition that @Windwalker mentions. I’d probably be just over a barrel of these by now but they helped another fine chipper complete a rack.
Still have a couple of the finest examples of these $1s though, you won’t find them any nicer.

After a ton of searching for relabel options for my HP set, ended up deciding on the CBC for the $1, the SB $5 for the $5 and the Saloon 10 $1 for the hundo. Many thanks to @superchromix and @JeepologyOffroad for the invaluable assists in getting this done / thought through.
Too bad there aren’t any sharp $5s, the originals are spectacular and one of my all time favorite chips. Sold my big set because of the condition though, this lineup is killer.

Yep. Wasn’t able to find more than 6 or 7 sharp ones. I originally was going to mill 2 leaded sharp racks of some 3d14 Hotstamped Maverick $5s I have, but because the hundo is going to be unleaded, decided to spare the leaded $5s from milling as they’re rare. I think the SB $5 works well.

I've really gained an appreciation for just how great the 3D14 spot pattern is in the past year. Great chips up and down that lineup.

Could 3d14, 4d14 and 3d38 possibly be the only spots that can be used meaningfully on all denoms of a set and still be exciting? There’s something about their form that still lends so much vibrance to a full set, progression be damned.

Some new chippies to mix and match in 3d14 and 4d14 sets.

Whenever I talk about which chips I like and don't, and I say "geometry matters" ... THIS is what I'm talking about.

Three-fold and four-fold symmetry are the nuts. Two-fold is okay but not great. Six-fold and eight-fold are just too busy.

Two colors side-by-side add interest. Single is okay but a bit plain; triple is okay but a bit cluttered.

Put these principles together and you get 3dX and 4dX. Which gives you 3d14, 4d14, and 3d38 as the expressions of chipping perfection.

Well said. Some 3d14 and 4d14 examples are just absolutely unbeatable. Some of my favorites:

We have so many good yellow $5 options now thanks to the recent NAGB and so few actually good red $5. The Nitro Club $5 goes straight to top 3 red $5 for me! On that top 3 you will also find those Saloon n10 $5 now - awesome and unique find! What’s the base color? That red is deep!

IMO 3D14 and 4D14 are the most elegant spot patterns and probably some of the easiest to integrate in a line up. Also a big fan of 3TA variations although I’ll admit certain bases colors (black and white, like Yosemite Inn $100 or OCC $10) will accommodate those spot patterns better than others, and an entire line up using 3TA will look too busy
