She had no idea what she had, that was the problem. She hadn’t look at the casino / card room stuff in years. We needed to go hunting in that storage facility. Bleh.she was holding out over 3 racks? Wow, she made you work for those chips.
Ahhhhh. Digging through storage units now like a proper treasure hunter. Sounds like fun. Were you able to uncover any other casino related memorabilia? She had no idea what she had, that was the problem. She hadn’t look at the casino / card room stuff in years. Otherwise known as the three C'sYou’re a papyrophiliac, or in the early stages of papyrophilia. It’s more common than you would think.
I’ve collected a lot of things over the years, from coins to stamps to posters to first edition books, maps and journals. I focus mainly on comics, classic cars, and chips now.
Oh wow didnt know there was a name for it, do you know any forums or such of others in the same boat? I'm assuming then, you used to collect them as well, any tips? You’re a papyrophiliac, or in the early stages of papyrophilia. It’s more common than you would think.

Just before I started looking into poker chips, i was really focused on fountain pens and especially their inks, with (at the time) unkown brands who had so many colors. They even have a forum, where people review ink (from color to flow, etc). Some hard core users also used to mix inks to have their own colorI don’t know of a community per se, but this is a good place to start:

I have come to accept that literally EVERYTHING has its niche'. We really aren't that weird when you see the full range, past the value increases in the last ten years. Check Noodlers ink for ex. to have an idea. It's a fascinating world, but expect to constantly have inky fingers
I’d like to make an offer on this chip on eBay, but does anyone know if the chip can be easily removed from its lucite enclosure? I’ve never seen a chip housed like that.

Thanks john, great to know! No. If you look at the chip closely in the lucite, the chip will typically bubble into the lucite on one side. The lucite hot lucite essentially melts the chip when poured.
I have a few Viscontis, sailors, platinums, pelikans, pilots and way too many Lamys and, TWSBIs. And many more I’m probably forgetting.Just before I started looking into poker chips, i was really focused on fountain pens and especially their inks, with (at the time) unkown brands who had so many colors. Me too - I can safely say I have spent more money on pens than chips.Just before I started looking into poker chips, i was really focused on fountain pens and especially their inks, with (at the time) unkown brands who had so many colors. You can get fancy pencils too. My wife has been using blackwings lately, and she scoffed at the idea originally, but now she uses them pretty exclusively.Wow. I only use the shitty pens that they give out at conference centers for free!! I am a #2 pencil gal

These copies are never to be opened or read, because of their scarcity/value, correct?Still my favorite things I own. My first / first signed Catcher in the Rye, and the first illustrated Grimm’s Fairy Tales.
