Sad not to see you guys at Kevin’s. Really thought it’d be fun, but holy jeez when the kid care gets knocked up and Covid.I’m not one to get upset with thread unraveling. Just do me one thing and wear your Captains of the Winnebago Club jacket and drivers cap to the event, I’d love to get a picture with you all dressed up.
So if hornet is the little man, are you the big man lolHaha newb as in I have very little exposure to the higher end/lesser talked about chips.
You are a lucky little man that you have the dopest custom set coming out.
Don’t pussy foot around it Mike, I’m going to answer the real question you’re asking. So if hornet is the little man, are you the big man lol
That's a sandwich I'd rather not be a part of thanksDon’t pussy foot around it Mike, I’m going to answer the real question you’re asking.

For a historic set like this, did you consider the non-mint chips? I went back and forth on it a lot of times. If the chips were made for use in the wsop but not used or not used much do they still have the same history as the chips actually used in the tournament?@RainmanTrail first got me interested in the Binion’s WSOP Paulson set, and I have spent the better half, maybe even three quarters of the last 3 months trying to track down as many of them as possible. It has been quite an adventure, with a fair bit of detective work, some mild social engineering, and a ton of dead ends. But I’m nearing the end of a quest to put together the largest known set ever, outside of the actual tournament.
Part of that quest was to find / create consistency in the quality and condition of the chips, which meant taking chips in various states of cleanliness and use, and cleaning / culling them. For this task, I solicited the help of a good friend, @JeepologyOffroad. I have probably PM’ed more with John than everyone else on PCF combined.
Not only did he help me clean and cull, but he also took some amazing photos of them. A big, comprehensive Pr0n post with all denoms coming soon, but here are a couple of teaser photos that John took that are absolutely breathtaking!

The culling is to create exactly that -- a pristine set, and one that's been in play in the WSOP. Not throwing away the culled ones, just wanted to separate them. For a historic set like this, did you consider the non-mint chips? I went back and forth on it a lot of times. Fantastic set either way, just questioning the need/desire to cull
Not throwing away the culled ones, just wanted to separate them.
I'm currently mixing mine because the condition of the 5s and 1ks is so different than the 25/100s. Did you flatten the worn ones? If so did someone on the site offer that service? The culling is to create exactly that -- a pristine set, and one that's been in play in the WSOP. Didn’t know you were a Houston Assholes fan.If you change your mind, just call me garbage can!
I've got pretty consistent "pristineness" across most denoms, but I also have a ton of quantity. A good friend on here offered to help me do some straightening on a few warped ones. Haven't begun that process yet.I'm currently mixing mine because the condition of the 5s and 1ks is so different than the 25/100s. Did you flatten the worn ones? You just sold your cali set to me!! By the way, I absolutely love it, thank you!!That Docs set looks a little too used for you.......... might need to throw that one in the give away.
Pr0n?You just sold your cali set to me!! By the way, I absolutely love it, thank you!!
Ah. Ok, here you go:
They’re THC and leaded,
And they’re colorful too.
Oh, and if they flopped a set,
Only the Jacks would do.
Now that I have the answer and the clues there is no way anyone who wasnt already in the know was working this out. I assume the set and jacks reference are related to their contributors. Here is some Pr0n of the first 3 prizes in the Giveaway.

Casino Royale‘s are awesome. Not sure how I feel about murdering the $100’s.

I thought you were going to murder the white inlaid hundos which would be a shame.Oh, I’m murdering them to make Casino Royales. The hotstamps on mine are all mostly worn off, figured I’d mill and create new inlay-style labels for them.
Eeek no!! Those are some beautiful chips!!I thought you were going to murder the white inlaid hundos which would be a shame.
I see now that you're talking about the orange hot stamped hundos.
Also, as always, my "asshat rule" stands: if you’ve been an asshole to me in the past (as defined by me), I may refuse to include you in the drawing.
