I believe PA is one of the states that allows perpetuities. There are exceptions, but then it becomes a whole tangled mess of legal mumbo-jumbo.

The Rule Against Perpetuities is a common law rule. You can't alienate property for longer than a life in being +18 years. But sure, state law could override common law.

Seems like a mess if you would allow it. The RAP was an attempt to clean up a messy situation.
