If unopened, how long will a case of beer last? I’m not a big drinker of beer so I don’t know.

Depends on what is meant by "last". Flavour does change with time. I've found darker brews lose some sweetness after 6 months, for example.

Alternatively, some brews with live bottle conditioning instead have a best after date rather than a best before.
 
My favorite type of beer is a nitro stout. I’m only getting one (or 4) cause I had a beer and DiD and now I’ve been wanting to have a beer.
