Still working through meetup beer.

Depends on what is meant by "last". Flavour does change with time. I've found darker brews lose some sweetness after 6 months, for example.

Alternatively, some brews with live bottle conditioning instead have a best after date rather than a best before.
This right here. Bottle conditioned stouts, Barleywines, Scotch ales, and wild sour beers will get better for a time, and won't start declining for several years.

Also, this was asked by @shorticus so it's probably Bud Light. Not sure it's possible for that swill to get any worse, so just open it and drink it!

It was/is actually Heineken. I have a cousin who works for Crescent Crown and he asked me if I wanted a case. It’s still exactly where he dropped it.

So bottles. Was it stored in a place that's dark, or sunny? What temperature range? If indoors, and not in direct sunlight, it should be fine, if you like that beer. Only way to know for sure is to pop a couple in the fridge, then drink them. Even if it tastes bad, it won't hurt you. I've drank beer before that was 10 years old. In fact, I probably have some that old in my closet right now!

RateBeer puts Heineken at better than 3% of the world's beers. So on the plus side age is unlikely to make it much worse.
Sometimes I'll just want some affordable watery tasteless lager, not knocking personal taste.

My new fave beer….

Doctor recommended…

Unfortunately, I’ve had a bad run of health the last few years. It all culminated when I experienced a very dangerous syncope event while driving.

Long story…short…I got the Diabeetus and there is no going back. In order to combat the A1C of 7.6, I’ve lost 30lbs, gave up beer, scotch, and French fries.

I’m proud to report, my last A1C was 6.8, which is a major accomplishment. The work though, is daily fasting for 18hrs…every day.

I have even corrected Stage 1 Hypertension and Acid reflux disease as a byproduct of this lifestyle

All without meds! Sorry for the derail! Love beer. It just is poison for diabetics with those long chain sugars!

Drink up! Hahahahahaha
