Had a nice Oregon fresh hop ale in the sun yesterday (can't remember the brewery....)

First thing I always do when I'm out of state is go buy some local beers. This is the first one from Iowa this trip. I have 3 more to follow if I remember to post. :D It was delicious!

Day #2 In Iowa - Beer #2

This is Absolutely OUTSTANDING! One of the top 5 best NEIPA's I've ever had.

Toppling Goliath - rarely a bad choice
For sure. I've been to the brewery (the old tap room in town several years ago) and I buy their stuff every time I come up here, but somehow I had never had King Sue before. Let's just say the hype it gets is well deserved. There was some chatter a few months ago on their Facebook page about some bad batches with off flavors and a weird color, but thankfully it seems they worked that out, because this batch couldn't be much better.

Day #3 in Iowa:

Tonight we went out for dinner and I had this beer on tap. It's from Lake Time Brewery in Clear Lake, IA and it's call Quentin Quarantino. (yuk-yuk) Decent IPA, but nothing I would seek out again.

Day #4 in Iowa:

This one was a little disappointing. It had a very high rating on untapped, but I didn't agree. I've had enough really good NEIPAs to know the difference. This one was average.
