Poker Zombie
Royal Flush
EDIT: Pr0n starts on page 4!
I love Matsui plaques and Bud Jones chips. I'm in that rare group that prefers the soft plastic feel over that of clay (which is miles superior to hard ABS plastic). However, given the extreme prices of Matsuis or BJ chips, I thought I would simply forego my favorite and stick with excellent clays. Not a bad way to settle.
Then the Chiproom had a sale on Ambassador chips. I set alarms, figured out my breakdown and nabbed what the concensus is to be RT Plastics chips - very close in feel to BJ chips.
Now the Ambassadors aren't going to win any beauty pageants. The inlay looks like it was designed by a 20 year-old who scanned the internet for images, and completed the whole project in a day.
The perfect chips to Zombify.
The number of color choices were somewhat limited. There were other colors available as well, but the % of denominations to chips requirement for pre-sale orders required an unusual breakdown and I needed to reign in my choices. I would make up the rest with plaques. Thanks to @justsomedude for running an MSK plaque GB. The MSKs aren't even close to Matsuis, but the price is right, and they are far superior (IMHO) to ceramic plaques. So I have chips, and I'll top off the set with custom plaques.
Again, the limits on percentages of denominations to chips meant I wasn't going to build a limit set, nor was I going to build a cash set. But I could build a tournament set. As I was contemplating it, the James Bond Casino Royale movie came to mind. A tournament with plaques.
Now mind you, I have posted that plaques do not belong in a tournament set. But a high-end tournament in a fancy European casino might use plaques. They might also use non-Vegas colors. So the idea was born - Zombie Poker Club, World Edition.
First, because I have the art completed on the plaques, I bring these options to the group. When I'm done with the chip art, I'll forward those options along for community input.
I'm looking for input, mostly on fonts, but at this point I'm open to any suggestions. Each of the 5 set options are numbered either directly above or below the USA chip in each set. Yes, I have #2 in there twice. It's because there are from a rotating computer wallpaper that I use when I become indecisive. Please use these numbers when referencing any set.
