Zombie Poker Club, World Edition (2 Viewers)

Thanks to everyone here, I've got it narrowed down to numbers 2 and 4. I've refined them a bit (added a darker outline on the beer flowing from the zombie's arm as I wasn't sure that gag was visible enough (25,000) and added more grapes because I wasn't sure it was clear that he was making wine (5000). I know that when it comes to chips, simple is better - I just cannot seem to follow that rule very often.

I've also done a lot of work on the #4 T500,000 chip, in an effort to make the gun more visible, but so far there's nothing that I liked enough to post. If there's anything else you'd like to see fixed in either set 2 or 4, let me know, and I'll consider it.

I also re-watched Casino Royale last night, for the poker scene. I noticed that in that movie the red plaque was the T500,000 and the Blue was the T1,000,000. Since this set really doesn't follow the movie, it probably doesn't matter (and I question how many people would even know which plaque was which). But I thought I would throw the idea of switching them out there, and see what the world community says.

(also tagging @Ben here, in case he has any input - as he will likely be playing on these at some point)

My biggest issue with set #4, is the way the USA plaque loses the gun behind the text. After numerous revisions, I think I found one that works, but I'm not sure it gives set 4 the edge over 2. Does this sway any of the 2 votes into the 4 camp? Do I lose any 4 votes with a more aggressive gun positioning (ie not pointing safely into the air)?

I still like 2 over 4..
I would also look into maybe putting a white boarder around the words to get them to pop a bit more. IMO

A handful with the white and black.

Extra pop, or extra noise (keep in mind these will be on MSK plaques, which will have the pearl like bleed-through on most of the colors (still not 100% sure how that all works, I've written to MSK, have not heard back yet - I blame time zones).

I like it, I dont know that you need it on the denoms, the orange just seem to get lost a little, the blue denoms are fine without it.... Again MO.

I appreciate all opinions. Kind of the point of this particular set is to get a more worldly view, rather than my insular, perhaps crazy, viewpoint.

Then take those worldly opinions and run it through the lens on my crazy-ness.

I have 5 sets of Zombie chips where I used just my ideas. This will be #6, and wow, I recommend to anyone making custom chips to run it through the group. jbutlers idea of swapping the T1000 and T5000 was so simple, yet brilliant. My head said "don't make progression red/white/blue, that's so dice-chipish". But he noticed the spot progression (a factor I never pay attention to). Then when Ghoti found a casino using blue T5000's- it made me super pleased to be using worldly accurate color chips and correct spot progression.

No-brainer - take all advice, digest, and then decide.

The first mock-up has arrived. I think they accidently took out the black line running along the ridge on the plaque, but otherwise I'm pretty happy so far.

As you can see I opted for 2 plaque sizes. After getting samples, I liked the bigger plaques better - they have more "oomph" in stacks, but if any player amassed a stack of the 100k plaques it would be an unwieldy mess. Therefore a smaller 100k, and bigger 500k and 1M.

I did not feel a need to make the 1M plaque larger than the 500k. Since I anticipate the only a couple of 1M plaques ever getting into play (I'm ordering 5 for me and 10 for give-a-ways), it felt like a waste to make them even bigger - not to mention the storage challenge for just 5 plaques.

@Poker Zombie I know I looked into it and post about it at one point, but I don't recall - what colors are available for the running edges of the plaques?

Very nice! On the 500k plaque, what is the Zombie holding? It looks like a baked apple pie....

This is what I hear when I look at that plaque:
"You touch my pie, and I kill you!" --Achmed, the Dead Terrorist ;-)

The original artwork had the zombie holding a brain. But with practically any news story over the past 3 months, I've concluded that apple pie is very American. Brains unfortunately, are not.
