Game is 2/5 PLO with a mandatory $10 rock posted by the winner of the previous hand.

Hero only recently got his seat and is in for the maximum of $2,000

Rock is posted in the CO

Button folds, Hero is SB with:

:qd::js::td::9c:

Hero limps for $10

BB raises to $50 and has a 2k stack (BB is a LAG who makes some weird plays like three-betting preflop with K653 double suited in position but has good situational awareness postflop and will apply pressure). Caucasian male in his 40's

UTG+2 raises to $200 and has a $1500 stack. This is a young Asian male higher stakes hold em player who is not all that great in PLO

Hijack raises all-in for $290. Have not seen this player before, Caucasian male in mid to late 40's with a stupid haircut

Folded back to Hero....?

Call. I’m willing to play for stacks if necessary, but I’d like to see a flop more cheaply. Hopefully, BB just calls and it doesn’t reopen to UTG+2.

Shit, this is one of your better starting hands ;) You going to Florida btw?

The betting is still open for the BB. If he calls, is the action closed for UTG +2?

I'm probably just calling here

So just curious, if you call here are you auto committed to calling all in if one of the guys behind you reraises?

Roughly 300 of my 2K stack I don't think commits me to calling if it gets repopped. But then do I want to throw away the 300 bucks I just called or play for stacks?

I don't think he is committed with only putting 300 in pre flop. I would rather call and re evaluate.

Do you mean the Suicide Queen Melee in February? Yes, I'll be there :)

Yes. Cool. See you there.

Utg+2 not eligible or a reraise, right? I think I fold here. But calling is obv more fun, lol

I agree with @Hornet here and call now and will call off if it gets raised back to us.

I probably would sit at this game with $1k to start for this reason. So I can easily shove this hand preflop.

WTF am I ? chopped liver...........sheeeesh lol

With just $10 invested, worst possible position and relative position, a best case scenario of an effective flop SPR of around 1 to 1.5 with a player already all-in... I am inclined to fold. Given the action, I think you are behind and many of your outs will likely be in other people's hands.

Of course if you have a few rebuys with you, go ahead and gamble it up.

If you have been reading Pro @Anthony Martino :) poker threads. This game is really soft. Knowing that. I'm inclined to play this hand.

What do I do? Fold. Not interested in funneling money into an already bloated pot (and we're not even done preflop yet) when I'll be oop for the entire hand. I don't want to play for stacks pre-flop with this holding nor throw away another $280 when it gets popped again and maybe re-popped.

What should you do? Chant "rude, rude, and rude" while eyeballing each of the raisers in turn, then just call, claiming they can't run you out of the very first hand you play. It's okay to jam here too, since your lucky leprechaun ass will undoubtedly flop the nuts with a redraw.

USA USA.

Dave, I don’t appreciate this. I’m in a work meeting and just burst out laughing because of you.

Also, I think you need a third USA.

Its a pretty solid PLO hand, not the best, but I would take it to the flop at least. Try a call first, but depending on all action, I would probably be willing to play for stacks with it.

I opted to fold. I didn't feel my hand was strong enough to repop, didn't like calling 3 raises OOP against the two big stacks who had position on me either

BB folded, asian called with :ac::qc::ts::5h:

Board came :as::8d::7d::tc::3d: and I would've won a nice pot, but still think given position, stack sizes, etc the fold was correct

All in didn't show

I have to see a flop with a suited run down. Being out of position isn’t a bad thing sometimes. You get first in vigorish. On that flop you get to open shove to maximize fold equity. You can fold out some slightly better flush draws to clean up your outs.

My concern is this:

1. I have invested $10 so far
2. If I get repopped do I want to play for my 2k stack with Queen-high one suit?
3. If everyone just calls I am OOP in a low SPR spot with a good hand, but my opponents ranges should include my outs, I could be up against better straight or flush draws depending on the flop

Against the asians hand headsup he is a 53 to 42 favorite with a 5% chance of chopping

Believe me, I hated folding my hand, but just feel given the specifics of this situation the fold is the best play long term, given many of my outs are likely in other hands

Generally I want to see flops cheap because enough players will go crazy with non nutted hands I can wait for those spots

Toooooooooo fast. The thread was open two hours and twenty minutes from original post to results.

I vote call and hope for a multiway pot. Not going to like getting jammed on, but not folding.

Maybe we can run it twice and get a new runout?

This is the biggest takeaway from this. Can you imagine if one guy wakes up with suited diamonds along with kings or aces? You've done fucked then Bah-lah-kay. I like the fold.
