2016 Custom Chip HOF stump thread. (4 Viewers)

For those of you noodling what sets you might want to lobby for, this old CT thread on the GOAT custom chip is pretty helpful in discussing sets that had been made at that time (2014). Obviously some of the links/pics are busted, but the sets are discussed and I'm finding it helpful to look back through.

Good call. Some nice entries there

He also did the Worlds of Cthulu and Casino R'lyeh ASM sets - not exactly HOF material IMO (a little too interest-specific) but still really cool sets.

No-one does pr0n like the good Dr John

....and the closeups keep on coming. You know the doc.

He goes on to include .gifs of the clay molecules bouncing around off each other

No idea where he got the inlay designs from on these. Carved by rune witch?

Here's Cthulhu set. Agree quite niche

You can link to his other sets from his link list at page bottom

Hmmm links all broken for me.

Hmmm links all broken for me.

Pics or page URL?

The image link performance is odd on CT. Seems impacted by device/browser for me, depending on what I use.

What can't you see? Pics in my previous post? They show up on my mobile

Re: the image links to CT. If you aren't logged in over there, the image links will not work.

Yeah that's an irritatingly ridiculous setting that could just be changed on their end, but...

I've found it best to just save the photos and host them elsewhere for posting here.

It was really hard to think, what sets I would like to nominate. The custom chip rain has been heavy lately.
I have gotten to buy some marvellous sample sets. They all could be nominated to HoF. I love them all.
But I made things that much harder for myself. I restricted my suggestion for max five sets. After a long
thinking and pondering, here's my list:

Suicide Queens by meatboy/k9dr
Chateau de Noix by bivey
Iron Bank stocky
The Boulevard by bmichaelhorn

And fifth and last, an insta classic:
Cordeiros Fite Club by ChaosRock

To be fair:

1 - Those images are hosted on photobucket, so it's not a CT problem.
2 - I believe it works the same way here. I can't view images hosted here on CT unless I'm logged in here.

I think the links above are just incorrect. For example the first pic is linked as:

http://1.1.1.1/bmi/i408.photobucket.com/albums/pp161/Debbiedim/Casino Rlyeh/RL02Large.jpg
but should be

I need to update my nomination with the lastest Blades pr0n. Oiled, and with the extra bling from the plaques, the set really does stand out, no matter how modest @Phantom wants to be about it:

blades-2-038-jpg.24082

blades-2-104-jpg.24112

blades-2-114-jpg.24122

I also think these are worthy of consideration. They are so well executed.

Confirmed - just tried it. Bummer.

@Tommy is there any way to change settings to make images viewable to non-members or is that an intrinsic bug/feature in the forum software?

Ah ha - thanks, John. Fixed now.

Besides the obvious colors, spots, etc....the reason this inlay is a class above so many is the effective use of cursive font. When this one gets to committee, someone needs to gag Jack.

I love the Bowlward set. :)

Ok I'm ribbing Jack but I'm 100% serious about the font choice here.

I love the $20 in this set. A classy choice of colours and inlay design :-)

It's okay, jbutler is no longer dis-cursive. He was outted during Clermontgate
