Hi all,
I’ve tried the search but can’t seem to find anything, if this is already out there please point me in the right direction.
Has anyone 3D printed a craps rail/rack?
I see lots of regular racks printed, to hold 5 barrels vertically. But can’t see anything to hold 2 long horizontal runs of chips. Like the 12” sections you get on a craps rail.
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Memphis

Do they have to be 3D printed or is wood ok? I bought a DIY table that had some (poorly) routed rails but I upgraded the table with wood rails I bought online. I'm new here and don't know if it's ok for me to post a link to them. Anyway, they look great, pretty much just like a real casino, though I think the curves might be a different radius. I can post pics too if you'd like.

I’m just looking for anything cheap! Lol
Don’t think you can post links, but I’d love to see some pictures.

Before and after pictures. Once I am able to send DMs I'd be happy to share the link. They were $12 per foot for the straght sections and $28.50 for each corner, plus shipping of course. Not exactly cheap if you're doing a whole table, but a fair price I think. And while I'm pretty good with my hands, I didn't have the tools, time, skill or patience to make them myself. I think your 3D printing route could be a good way to go too, though I wanted wood to make my table as realistic as possible.

Wow, they really do look great!
The issue I always have is shipping. I’m in Canada and it’s very common for shipping to cost more than whatever it is I’m looking to buy!
I was hoping if there’s a 3D print out there I could get the file and have it done locally.

I’m new to craps and just want a single rail section to help organize my chips when practicing different strategies. It’s obviously so different to poker when you stack your chips in multiple piles.

I went to the website and put in an order for 12 straight sections and 4 curves (like I have on my table). Their cheapest shipping option to Texas where I live is $19. I picked a random postal code in Calgary and it's $58 to ship there. The supplier is located in Vegas and you could pick up locally for free if you are ever there.

It's not two tables, it's the same one. I bought the layout from eBay several years ago with the idea to build a table. I never got around to it but I recently found a homemade table and bought it. But my felt was too long for that table as you can see in the first photo. I ended up trashing the sides and building new ones that were 16 inches longer, adding a spot for a stickman. And then I put the nicer chip rails on top and added the padding. Some day I will build nicer drink rails.

I did actually make myself a piece of rail from molding I got at Home Depot. It took a little redneck engineering, but it does the job!
I just thought I’d look to see what 3D printed stuff was out there.
Here’s my little basement setup I run strategies out on. Again it’s not much, but it does the job!

In my many hours googling about building a table, somewhere else on the internet I saw someone else use cove molding like you did. Smart! I would have never thought to do it like that. What chips are those, and what do you like for craps?

Of all the chips I have the only ones I have that are suitable for a craps bank are a set of garbage sluggo Monte Carlo Millions I picked up on Facebook marketplace for like $30! Lol
All my tournament sets have no $1 or $5 and my cash sets have minimal $25 and no $100.
I picked these up just because I saw them and now I use them more than anything else. It’s funny how things work out sometimes!

I’m very new to craps. After going to Vegas for over 20 years I never played until last year. I thought I’d give it a try after seeing some videos on YouTube. Had some good success and a lot of fun!
Now I’ll often roll out different strategies while watching football or UFC.

I’m heading out for my first session in years tonight with some buddies. Hope to have a good time!

All the ideas here are really gonna make being degenerates easy for us on poker night. The chipcase with the foam is perfect

I wondered if anyone was going to pick up on that?!? Lol
It really is perfect. At first I tried cardboard boxes at the end of the table and stuff like that. Then I had this idea and it works out great!

Used a play a lot more, but higher minimums have mostly kept me away from the craps tables on Vegas trips the past few years. But I did put in a few hours of play when we were there a couple weeks ago.

After posting only a week ago about the cheap sluggos I was using for craps, I just stumbled across these, Matsui from a now closed local casino. Came with the practically the perfect breakdown too. A much needed upgrade!!

Those are awesome! I've been using cheap dice chips I've had for probably 20 years. Used them on my craps table a couple times, but the second time was for a friends birthday party and we had probably 10 players and I was running out of chips until another friend ran home and grabbed his. After that I bought 500 more off marketplace so I at least have enough chips, but they ended up being thicker than my old ones which is annoying. My chip trays fit 20 of my old chips per row, but only 19 of the new ones. Obviously they are very slippery too, though when I was dealing a full table I didn't fumble them as much as I expected I would. But in any case, I'm here researching and looking to buy better chips. I haven't ordered any samples yet but plan to soon, from Apache and/or Justin. I think my first step is to compare how China clays and ceramics feel. I'd love used casino chips of course, but $.50 per chip will already be stretching my budget since I need 1000 and want more like 1500. Plus I might want to add in some fractionals so I can use the set for poker too, we usually play 25c/50c.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences getting card mold ceramics direct from Tina and also through Justin’s group buys. Great chips with tons of designs available for a very good price!!
