Thanks so much for all the replies...we are off to a good start  :ROFLMAO:

Took me some time to choose a set that would kick off this festive pr0n thread.

I settled on a set that is dedicated to my weekly game.
We started years ago at the horse club of one of the players, we are all close friends and 420 growers/smokers.
Let's say the game progresses from a normal quarter game to complete madness by the end of the night (multiple straddles, bom pots, flips, NL omaha, 72 game)...most players losses/profits are close to 200-300 per player when all is said and done.

I wanted a build a set that could support this game and incorporated some elements that are reference to how the game came to be.

The Derby Club

ARTWORK

Steve (@p5woody) did an awsome job...since we were 'stuck' with 2 great designs, we opted for alternating artwork.
Color matching was a must for me and perfectly executed by Steve and Chris @Gear @Wifey .
Like expected the labels came out great (texture laminated)
Thanks so much for the fantastic end result you both delivered

CHIPS

Since the original sale of the PCA's by @TheChipRoom, I was intrigued by the mint roulettes I was able to aquire.
These RHC's were something else and after investigation, it was the leaded formula that had hit my sweet spot.
So...when Jim posted his 'Back to School' sale, I noticed the Sheraton roulettes and loved their colors (cali colored leaded RHC's !!!).

After contacting Jim, I was able to score the few (partial) mint racks that came with the whole batch....and we had a start.
Many members helped me out, filtering out all their VGC & mint chips from big batches of casino used roulettes...espec. @Meathooke and @Ethan
I was able to fill my racks...but still was one rack of $5 short.

Enter @Senzrock...who was able to sell me more then a rack of mint & leaded yellow RHC's
I opted to add 2 racks of Cherokee T5 as quarters...I loved these color combo's & condition matched...thanks @JFCJ & @AfterTheFact for the perfect chips
I just love solid chips...it's all about the artwork / hotstamp and color combo's that match.

Now I would love to add 2 more barrels of $25 (Cherokee T500) to finish it off...but in the meanwhile i'll settle with what I got.

Thanks at @TheChipRoom and all members that helped me get these chips together.

Breakdown

200 25c (Watermelon)
100 50c (Lime)
200 $1 (Day blue)
220 $5 (Canary yellow)
60 $25 (Hawaiian flower)

And this is why I want a solids set! That Hawaiian Flower $25 rounds off the set so perfectly.

Great looking set, curious to know which chips are originals?
the artwork is custom, so no original chips

25c is Cherokee T5
50c is Sheraton roulette (leaded)
$1 is Sheraton roulette (leaded)
$5 is Sheraton roulette (leaded) / old school Paulson advertisement chips (all leaded)
$25 is Cherokee T500 (IHC)

Love this. I'm a fan of denominations matching the base color of the chip. I really love the artwork, classy and simple, nothing too busy. Well played.

Midnight Jazz Club

One of my treats in life is jazz music...before covid I regularly visited concerts (often in small clubs) but now I love hanging back in my music room once the kids are in bed....smoking a phat one and blasting some Davis, Hancock, Coltrane, ... on vinyl (& headphone).

So...when I (way back in 2010-11) had the chance to order a semi custom hotstamped BCC set on the MGK mold, it didn't take long to decide that it would have to be a jazz theme.

ARTWORK

Chris (@Gear, then still Gear-X ;)) made a fantasic (hotstamp) design for another contest that was runnning on CT some years prior.

1652645291856.png

I was in love with that artwork and once Chris gave green light for me to use it, I couldn't be happier.
Fabian aka Meatboy was one of the great stampers of the day...and we were (and still are) close friends...and with the help of Chris & Fabian, the artwork was made hotstamp ready.

CHIPS

All sets on the MGK-mold were a collab between Joshua Dalton (mold owner) & BCC...but all communications, order & payments went via Joshua.
Not going into details here...but after delivery I was stuck with 11 racks of horrible chips (color issues, warping, ghost molding, ...the works).
It took all of my motivation and all the help in the world to end up with a great set, in perfect condition & playable breakdown.
I'll never forget that, besides Chris..all members that had a part in this venture have left the scene.

For that, to me..this set has no price due to it's huge sentimental value.

Breakdown

40 5c (BCC hot pink)
100 10c (BCC arc yellow)
160 25c (BCC chocolate)
300 $1 (TRK sahara turquoise) -> best base color EVER !
100 $5 (TRK yellow)
100 $20 (TRK blue)

Unfortunately, I can only tag that post once. Love the theme (we have similar tastes in music), and love solids and that hot stamp. Just perfect.
