Hey all - first ever post for me. I stumbled onto the site last week and was happy to hear there is such a great community around chips! Thanks to @Jonesey07 for getting me up to speed and highlighting this thread.

Unfortunately that means I am late to the party on this. I put my order in last night and will be nervously waiting to hear from @ABC Gifts and Awards to see if I survived the backlog of orders that probably built up over the weekend. Hope there will be some left for me (fingers crossed on the greens as I am doing a set based on my Irish heritage)!

I jumped right in and ordered over 1500 chips.

What a great opportunity, hopefully I get to partake!

I’m having the white as my nickel and the black as my dollar. It sticks out to me pretty clearly when I’ve done tests.

It's probably ok, but the problem I'm having is that the white and black share two colors; whereas most other adjacent chip denoms have one or none in common.

Maybe this?

I know people are saying just wash with soap and water. On my end I am seeing a noticeable difference wiping them down with some mineral oil.

I'd scratch the white and go black. Black is my favorite color of this set tho.

Mine is sort of a tos up between the black and the blue. Since we always need quarters I have a boat load of BLUES!

Definitely a known problem with 8V spots, since it's difficult to tell the base color in stacks. Shared colors amplify the issue.

Hard to beat 9¢/label for labels, unless you make them yourself, and they won’t be be nearly as nice. Maybe Gene has a standard label he’ll sell you but.

Majestics labels are 7/8" and the recess on these is 1(.1?)". Will work fine, just something to be aware of
