Is it also an 814 problem?Definitely a known problem with 8V spots, since it's difficult to tell the base color in stacks. Shared colors amplify the issue.

No, as there is significantly more base chip material visible than edge spot material with that spot pattern. Is it also an 814 problem?
And since the 8V would be wider than 814 and the V's would be exactly the same width if not wider than the base chip itself. So, if I have to make V-spots on 43mm's, I'll make it wider than 814s, but still narrow enough that the main base is more dominant. No, as there is significantly more base chip material visible than edge spot material with that spot pattern.
With 8V, the amount of base material appears as the same size as the spots. Most extreme case is when the V spots are all one color, then it's impossible to tell the base color from side viewing stacks.
Majestics labels are 7/8"
We can use just about anything that is round and high resolution for the labels. Most use Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.Newish chipper here, ended up picking up 4K chips for 2 different sets.
For labels, it seems that everyone’s custom proofs look the same. Is there a certain program/software people are using? What kind of file does Gene/Gear expect for custom labels?

Under a week most likely.Quick follow up. What's the turn around time look like on custom labels?

Blue is the best. That’s my quarterMine is sort of a tos up between the black and the blue. Since we always need quarters I have a boat load of BLUES!

I’ve got blue dollars in my Mardi Gras set and love them. But Blue quarters in my pharaohs and castle cardroom set. I just think the blue chips are the nicest of the 8v chips and wanted a lot of them, hence the quartersBack to goofing off. Blue = dollar. Yall cray.

I'm just messing with gecko. My set will have lots of 1s so I went blue. Normally I prefer pink quarter, blue 1s and yellow 5s but apparently I can't even have yellow in China clays. It's Paulson's all over again.

I like the blue the best, and the browns work really well with the theme I have in mind. So I ordered a limit set with 800 blue and 200 brown. I'm working on the label design now. These will be sweet!
In the world of chipping with 1 dollar chips being near the low end and some of us paying 5 plus per chip for sets, I really feel like this is one of those rare occasions to build a a massive set or back up collection.
If your like me and can't afford to buy every Paulson set that shows up no matter how much you want to and you know you will be doing lots of buying/trading/selling its very nice to know you have a set on hand that you don't have to worry about. There were times I wanted or needed to sell part of my main mixed set but I had people coming over for a game, now I don't have to worry about this.
The semi custom feature it just the icing on the cake.
Big shout out to @ABC Gifts and Awards for providing this opportunity to the community and dealing with my insanity/multiple orders and mind changes.
