About 18 months into the Hobby... 45k plus in chips... do we have a problem? (2 Viewers)

Seriously can't thank you @JeepologyOffroad John for the amazing opportunity to own these. It took about q week and a half to get them all washed and oiled! Pretty damn happy for a dark rainy day here in MD because otherwise there is no way I could photograph these... my phone would just break! Honestly some of the brightest damn chips I have seen!

I am aware that our 25k 50mm are the same color as the T1Ks but that's what we have right now.
Also thanks to @k9dr and @Windwalker who owned these along with anyone else who passed them down the line. Brie and I are thankful for the opportunity!

Alright all cased up and joining the crew
they were beautiful then, and even better now! I love, love, love this set. But I also prefer solids, so take that as you will.

Decided it was time to add a couple more cases to the under the bench collection (where our singles and samples live) #1 I wanted to finally make a dedicated case to singles fracs so that was my task for the evening.
Under the bench before today
Spent a few hours going through all of the fracs and came up with 289 different hot stamps + 134 Inlaid + 42 plastics and ceramics for a total of 465 unique fracs. Doesn't include those we use in our sets, just singles.
All separated out. Hot Stamps are the first 4 rows, inlaid rows 5 - 6, plastics on the last row and some of Bries special fracs on the top there on the right as a filler... for now. Eventually hope to get back into frac collecting, haven't really been into it for a while now, many have become very expensive like everything else.
Case #2 is going to be an overflow case as we have a ton of stuff filling up singles cases where they don't belong... from fantasy samples, members customs on milled chips, you name it, it was definitely time for #8 and #9.

The link that @TheOffalo shared are them. For $20 each I absolutely love them, they fit both 39 and 43mm chips. They fit about 76 - 77 chips per row, they are actually pretty decently built too. The only real negative is that they will not stay open on their own, it is extremely annoying when you are looking for specific chips. If that had added an extra 1/4" of vinyl fabric between the two halves it would be perfect. I honestly believe it was a reject run because the cover are difficult to keep open, because there is nothing else on the market for $20 of that quality. 100 times better than those big crappy aluminum ones.
To show with 43mm as well.
Also of you buy over $69 you get free shipping, find something else to buy with them because shipping is almost as much as the case! Lol

Oh god this. Especially because they won’t remind you about free shipping even if you’re at $65 so you end up paying them another $60 in shipping instead.
Can’t beat them for $20 shipped but I’m still not a huge fan of them for the reasons Ben noted.
They are so clean, the color of the chip is the star of the show. IN MY OPINION, hot stamped solid chips are as good as it gets.

Well this one hasn't been bumped in a while. Finally finished up cleaning and flattening the add on of 944 FOC micro chips. Got everything out for some family photos, don't tell @ovo but this takes me to two sets over 4k chips! Lol sorry some of the racks are loose cheap hunks
Breaks down into 3 sets
The $.05/$.10 set
For this one we utalize the 50mm GCR BCC $20s
The $.10/$.20 set, also can cover $.50/$1 and even $1/$2
And the weird spotted $.05/$.10.... unfortunately they did notmake spotted $1s and up, this set still needs 60 more $1 to complete
And anyone counting saying wait it's only 3,900 before the spotted... I have over 100 spares! Lol

Absolutely love this set, screams old school retro! I know the $100 isn't perfect but it works and Red Denom NV $100s are nearly impossible... and even worse when trying to follow a spot pattern progression.
Hope you guys enjoy, the 4 or 5 fans of our little thread we have! Lol you guys are awesome. Thanks for taking a peak!

Was thinking solid lavendar relabeled quarters... but when I found another rack of GC day green quarters for the limit set and already having Gold Fitz... it was time to evict the Tahoe Biltmores, but absolutely obsessed with those chips, hit me one day they would be perfecthere's, and I agree they were definitely the right choice.Love the frac choice
