About 18 months into the Hobby... 45k plus in chips... do we have a problem? (2 Viewers)

And starting stacks when they do hit the felt... of course I write everything out... but who doesn't love mock ups!

First 6 players bottom right (16/16/16) lucky #7 (4/19/16) players 8-10 (0/15/17) rebuys 1-5 (0/5/19) 6-10 (0/0/15/1) from there whatever is left! Lol
Absolutely gorgeous! The only way to improve this lineup is if they were all solids.

That's a lot of. Ben books.... I wouldn't wish that on my worse enemy! Haha

Definitely haven't logged everything in these pages but we try. I think we are up to 39 Playable sets now... that first pic in thr OP is a bit outdated at this point.

And I actually freaked out @Eriks ... in your screen shot says GC BCC - 800, I was like WTF, that list is almost 18 months old and we just got these a couple months ago
20220101_124214.jpg

That's just strange! But then I realized that was a BCC Garden City set I was putting together at the time and have since sold.

That list is slightly dated, like many chippers some of those have left and others taken their place, can't have them all! Lol

Again I think a lot of veteran members wouldn't even play a game with many of these sets! I absolutely agree its quality over quantity. But I really want to offer our players a variety of chips, try to recruit to the forum!

Samples...

Well as we are playing the 05 CDIs tonight @krafticus game, and I just got in our Octagon expansion. MSK plaques have been waiting... I reveal the final family photo... all 6117 pieces that make up this set
20220312_122505.jpg

(Not including DBs or cut cards of course)

Our Final set breakdown is:
(1000) T25
(1200) T100
(1000) T500
(1000) T1000
(900) T5000 (44mm octagons)
(500) T25,000 (44mm octagons)
(200) T100,000 (MSK plaques)
(30) T500,000 (MSK plaques)
(10) T1,000,000 (MSK plaques)
(187) 49mm ceramic Bounties
(40) 39mm ceramic seating chips
(50) 43mm ceramic rebuy chips

(6) dealer buttons
(12) poker sized cut cards.

Almost 3 years worth of effort, leaving and empty bank account probably 30 times... not exact numbers but about $18k invested... this one is a wrap and ready for almost anything a home game/meet up can throw at it!

Waiting on a few 43mm racks for the new Octagons and it will be time to case everything up. Should fit in (4) Apache 4800 cases.

It's OK to admit that you are boycotting Patrick due to younlack of love for the Paulson home mold... many are not a fan, until they play them. Hopefully the boys don't hate them too much.

Hopefully we will make up for it with them new cash set after thr tourney

Mark seems to be excited for this one and that's good enough for me!

We love our chips, it's really OK if others don't. Lol

Like the Emerald Bay Matsui we played two weeks ago Pat, doesn't really matter who likes them as long as you do brother. Still no regrets on asking to play that set. So freaking awesome how many chip collectors/owners we have in our local area. You can literally sample just about everything available just by coming out for a few games.

The magical Chicken Scratch book says 39 sets currently... I think that's all of them but probably forgot one.

Somewhere around 56k without singles, odd racks... probably total around 63k - 65k chips now... I ain't counting all of them that's for sure! Lol
love it, keep track of the year you started the set, more good info, and the second 39 come a lot quicker  :ROFLMAO:

I doubt that in today's chipping market. At least for us, love the hobby. Love chipping... but mortgage payments for single racks is pretty crazy. Still good stuff out there, just takes time... but I highly doubt we ever get to 78 sets! Lol

BTW if you ever host a game @ovo we would love to come see the collection someday... can't keep avoiding a Cali trip... so many awesome chippers out your way!!

Seriously loving these. I hope I can get my hands on another rack or 2.
Always always had my eye on these ever since we joined this forum/hobby, and seeing them cleaned up (even in used condition) is just incredible. I left 1 barrel temporarily unwashed as a comparison, and I might note Cali folk are seriously abrasive to chips!!

I couldn't find that other thead about being a chipaholic, so I thought I would post here. I've been working on the Jack detroit set, bought the 25, 100 in the early days, did finally get some dollars, but the 5's were hard to get. And I still thought I needed them, as I keep an inventory list. I was just going through my boxes and found two racks of 5's. I always kind of thought I bought some, every time they came up for sale, but I never recorded the transaction when I did finally buy them. Who knows, maybe I have two more racks somewhere. I think I have a problem.

Better to over buy and surprise yourself with a good find! That's too funny

Realized I never took a stacked picture of the Taj Tributes I picked up a while back.

Gotta love micro, down to the Nickle. But those are only for our "high rollers"

But alsfood accomidate our broke poker players we went down to a penny on the Super Poker World Ceramics
20220413_182228.jpg

Long live Micro poker games! Doesn't matter what you are playing for...just have fun doing it! Seriously $5 is a big deal to some of my family members. $5 gets you a healthy starting stack of (15) $.01/ (17) $.05/ (16) $.25 Playing $.01/$.02 ... the true definition of Micro poker!

Love love love those Taj tributes. Really have to get in on that next time there's an order...

For my 1 (maybe 2 followers of this thread, if I don't include Brie and my mommy, kidding) haven't taken the AC Trump House Molds out of the box for a family picture in quite a while... it is a longgg slowww build.
20220426_175249.jpg

Again Blues are just starburst I plan to mill and make Taj quarters out of. But there are still over 1,300 original AC Paulson House molds in this set. In my opinion some of the best chips ever made!

Anyone wondering what is going on with those $1s... well I started with wanting a barrel of each of the (5) $1s, then started another rack and another... now I am one barrel short of the Red Plazas of a rack of each and two racks of Taj $1s. But no I absolutely do not need that many $1 chips! Lol

Many of us on the east coast claim the Taj to be the first casino they ever played in... I am one of those fortunate few!

@Eloe2000 , @Lil Tuna , @Irish @DMack @Mike mac i think you gents can appreciate the effort there... this is not an easy build for the faint of heart, takes a ton of patience and even more money! Lol

And with the $1s in their own racks
20220426_191424.jpg

Again still working on that last barrel of Plaza reds there 4th rack down on the left
