About 18 months into the Hobby... 45k plus in chips... do we have a problem? (1 Viewer)

For my 1 (maybe 2 followers of this thread, if I don't include Brie and my mommy, kidding) haven't taken the AC Trump House Molds out of the box for a family picture in quite a while... it is a longgg slowww build.

Again Blues are just starburst I plan to mill and make Taj quarters out of. But there are still over 1,300 original AC Paulson House molds in this set. In my opinion some of the best chips ever made!

Anyone wondering what is going on with those $1s... well I started with wanting a barrel of each of the (5) $1s, then started another rack and another... now I am one barrel short of the Red Plazas of a rack of each and two racks of Taj $1s. But no I absolutely do not need that many $1 chips! Lol

Many of us on the east coast claim the Taj to be the first casino they ever played in... I am one of those fortunate few!

@Eloe2000 , @Lil Tuna , @Irish @DMack I think you gents can appreciate the effort there... this is not an easy build for the faint of heart, takes a ton of patience and even more money! Lol
What an awesome project @Ben8257 and @FordPickup92. So many great memories from AC.
Proud to be an owner of some awesome AC racks myself.

Alright...task for this weekend. Grab a bottle of bourbon and a post a pic with all your chips stacked together. :cool
I keep saying one snowed in day that we are going to take all of the furniture out of one room and do a family photo... but the last two winters our worst snow here was like 8" and we both still went to work. The year I moved here we got over 5 ft in two weeks... weird cycle right now as you got the monster storm this year Kev.

Damn...you should have hauled those to my house and we could have spent a week stacking, drinking, and taking pics. Oh yeah...and drinking.

Tropicana AC was the second casino I played in... that nasty dim lit poker room and late night tournies... hard to believe that was almost 20 years ago now. Beautiful collection Matt, again those that know are aware of what these builds take! But I honestly believe AC paid more for their house molds, the quality of chips is just next level and generally I am not a huge fan of House molds... but old school Leaded AC chips! Count me in for a seat!

Completely agree, the AC 418 house mold chips rock. I swapped out the foxwoods in the above pic for a newer rack of oceans, but I'd love to add one more 418 rack. I just can't figure out which one to start next.

Could have enjoyed the 4 hour plus ride home listening to Purple bitch about his endless bad run of cards! Haha

Wish you could post that video Matty but I know it's too long.
I’ve got Purple in pictures. :ROFLMAO:

I think Park Place had brown 418s correct? If it was me I think I would go for that against the brighter edge colors, break it up a bit like those purdy Cesar's.

Park Place was an option. Golden Nugget was another I was serious considering.

Ok... kind of stupid and I kmow... but my PCB collection officially can no longer squeeze into a white box. With my addition of finally finding the $500 it just didn't feel right in cardboard anyways. So I found this old wooden box @MegaTon44 gave me and my silly little collection of The Prisident Casino Biloxi Mississippi officially has a new home

Will it ever become something other than a display... probably not, but I can dream right? One of my favorite $25s of all time. Used to buy these for like $4 - $5 each and now they sell for $40... probably never finish that rack but so is life!

Also last night was a good one... finally hit my goal on the quarter limit set. When this thing started I just wanted different colored racks of quarters for a $.25/$.50 limit set for teaching new members Circus games. @Beakertwang mentioned "running this $.75/$1.50 limit" how bad ass would a 3/6 chip limit set be... monster pots of mixed colors. But now my idea of everyone buying for a single rack of quarters no longer made sense. We would need to buy in for $50 and get two racks of chips.

I realize that most mixed games only work for 7 or less players but many you can play 8 handed. So the goal became 8 colors of 2 racks each. I don't much care if the stamps match... it's a $50 buy in and they are leaded THC quarters for the most part. Hopefully in time I can get to 2 racks on a couple more. The case holds 2,100 chips and I plan to do Plaques called "Washington's Round Up" at some point for $5 and a few $20 plaques.

Anyways yesterday with my 10 yellow quarters find at the convention I finished the second rack of yellow and completed 8 colors of 2 racks each

Would love to finish the Rail Road Pass or Riversides and get the 40 Brown Horshoe out of there... but that is the set so far!
