Barrington poker table thread (8 Viewers)

Hey I was looking at the COSTCO US site and the table is listed at $329 USD. Here in windsor Ontario it's 379.99 CAD. right now you should be getting close to $1.38 CAD per $1.00 USD. If you're in Michigan or close to a border city with a COSTCO it might be worth doing the math to see if it's cheaper. Only difference between the two is that the US one has an extra topper

yeah, i showed up to get the refund, and they didn't have any left, even though inventory showed 1. so they wouldn't give me the difference. should have called first.
Same here, no refund even though within the 30 days.

The warehouse where you're requesting the price adjustment credit has to have the item in stock (at least one unit) to give credit due to a price drop. As stated, best to call ahead of time to check, as the app's inventory is not real-time.

I used my Costco Barrington table for the first time Friday and it was great. I also bought the Rechargeable 12V DC Output Lithium ion Battery Pack and the recommended dimmer and it worked great. The table was spacious for 8 people and I think I could even fit 10 but it would be tight. The battery pack was great and still has battery left after using it for about 4 hrs. The dimmer worked with existing lights but it’s kind of annoying to adjust because if you don’t get it just right the lights turn off and half to try again. There is very little wiggle room but when dimmed it did make a difference! I would recommend the combo! I am also ordering my custom Mirage themed topper to match from @rjdev7 that I am looking forward to!

Looks great! Are those the stock cup holders? From the pictures they look plenty deep, but I've heard a lot of people say otherwise.

@soleman16 Yes, they are the stock, small black cup holders on the Costco Barrington. They are unfortunately very shallow and small. However, I don't have the time or patience or DIY skills to do the cup holder replacement myself, so instead found some cheap good scotch glasses that have a narrow base and get bigger at the top, which work great. Any beer can fits find in the cupholder as well as water bottles, just not a standard whiskey cup. That said, I did have one spill early on because of the shallowness, but people figured it out and it wasn't an issue the rest of the game! I am glad the pictures were able to deceive you! :)

I mean if someone in the Orange County / LA area who has done the cup holder replacement successfully is eager to do it again on my table for a price, I would definitely consider that! :ROFLMAO::). Otherwise I am keeping it stock!

Still tbd. I am finalizing my order, but will remeasure my table today to confirm. The first time I measured I got 74.5 x 32.75. But I’m seeing that most people on here are getting 74.5 x 32.5 and are happy with it so I’m double checking. Definitely don’t want to have to trim it. And most liked even that small difference will be barely noticeable when thinking that it would be a 0.125 inch diff on each side worst case. Did you order one and happy with your size? Has anyone else ended up measuring 74.5 x 32.75 as well? Thanks!
@Chipandchair I ended up re-measuring and re-measuring and finally ordered a 74.25 x 32.25. Based on people's posts here it seemed like a popular order size as well. I will report back on the fit once I get it!

I would think that divot in the middle would drive me bonkers if I was playing with that all night.

Heads up that right now Costco has the Barrington led version for 199 delivered.

I picked up 2 in store for $99 and returned one of them with my $169 purchase since it was outside the price match window.

So I finished my Barrington mods (for now) but still need to order a topper.

New LEDs, Dimmer, AA Battery Pack, and Jumbo Cupholders

COB LEDs

I wasn't the biggest fan of the blue LEDs and didn't like how they were so spaced out. I saw someone talk about the COB LEDs and how they are amost diffused already and ordered the warm white and couldn't be happier. The LEDs are very close together so you don't need to put something in front of them to diffuse them like I was trying to do with the old LEDs. Instead of ripping out the old LEDs, I actually just wedged the new LEDs right on top of the current ones. It worked out great.

I did have to cut the light strip and attach another tail end. Very easy to do but measure accurately before you cut! You don't have much leeway with the 16.4ft strip. And then used the Y connector that also came with the COB connector package.

Screwed and glued on some velcro, glued velcro to the battery pack, then buttoned up everything else. Happy with it.

Jumbo Cupholders
I went with the jumbos after reading recommendations. Pried off the old ones with a vise grip, drilled a center hole down with a standard bit, then drilled from the bottom up with the 3 5/8in hole saw starting it the pre drilled hole. I got them all done but it was a bit of a struggle with the hole saw I bought. If I would do it again, I would get one that was deeper. This one barely made it through both pieces of wood.

Great write-up! Do you have a new link for the COB connector package for the LED lights? The one in this post no longer works. I am not great with the electrical stuff, so any help (like a new Amazon link) with what is needed here would be really helpful!

Frustrating that that package isn't available anymore.

Here is a similar 10mm one that is very close to that first connector package that I listed.

And here is an 8mm one that's also very close but it doesn't have clear connections like the first one, but that doesn't really matter. You do, however, get more items in case you screw up or one fails in this one.

What I never realized is that I used an 8 mm COB light strip and 10 mm connections. It's all been working fine, but maybe I should have used 8 mm connections :)

I assume as long as your connection package is bigger than the light strip it will probably work, but not the other way around. Good luck!

This is super helpful! Thanks for taking the time to link me. I added it to my cart. If you were to do it over again, would you pair the 8mm lights with the 8mm connectors?

How is everything working out with the lights and table? Are you still happy with the Barrington table? Did you also upgrade the cupholders as well?

With the discounted pricing, I currently have four of the Barrington tables in my cart but hovering over the buy button as I continue my research. So, first-hand experience and customization from people like you is the feedback I'm looking for.

Thanks again for taking the time to help me!

Step 1 buy a barrington
Step 2 buy a table topper
Step 3 buy a new chip set
Step 4 buy another table topper that matches the chip set
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until wife is mad
I'm currently working on the chip set. Once that is finalized, matching toppers and dealer buttons are next. Oh, and matching cut cards. I also have to do the cupholders and COB LEDs with dimmers.

I need serious help.

Don’t want to go back and forth with you. But Im assuming the topper would help but still not fully fix the divot. Just my reasoning for replying.
Dude your original post was about the fold in the middle

My reply was that's what the custom topper is for

and yet you still ask me if that will fix the issue. LOL

You can get an additional thin layer of foam to put under the topper if you're really paranoid. Although I don't have personal experience (yet), a topper seems to solve the issue of folding crack. The topper is a nice upgrade to what appears to be a very nice table for the money that also folds up and stores conveniently.

I'm sure others can chime in as to whether they still notice the fold divot even after adding a topper.

With my table, when I place the topper on before a game, the divot isn’t visible. After a few hours of play, I can barely notice it, and even then, it doesn’t impact gameplay or bother me at all. That’s just my personal experience.

With this in mind…can you buy a custom rail anywhere? I have an outdoor table that I would love to also use for a poker night but I feel like a rail is necessary.

I'm new here and not the best person to ask, but I bet there is someone on here that will know for sure. There's a guy for everything on here. Otherwise, I would contact a carpenter on your local craigslist to do it for you. I'm sure you could get something done for a reasonable price.
