Barrington poker table thread (21 Viewers)

Does anyone have any storage case recs for the Barrington table? My Costco one’s zipper broke off immediately

Get the one from Amazon. The bag that’s included is a piece of shit and has the worst zipper known to man. My father-in-law is a tailor and I didn’t even bother taking it to him to get it fixed. Garbage.

Well I just went to get a price adjustment and apparently this costco wanted to get rid of them so badly, I got an adjustment of $93.74!!!

I purchased it less than a month ago for the 169.99 sale
Nice! Dang I need to stop into mine

Does that mean your warehouse is selling them for $77 at the moment??

I think that included tax, so it was like $85 or something
But when I back on the floor I couldn’t find any, the computer looked like there were 3 left (but maybe that was in the whole neighboring areas).
What’s your zip code or store location

I picked one up tonight and it was @$149. So no crazy Eddie deals here yet,

I finished my Barrington cup holders upgrade, and only messed up one of the holes (oops!) You have to be super extra careful when getting close to the end of drilling each hole so as to not overshoot and tear the vinyl. I used some electrical tape to patch it up, which doesn't look too bad, but still annoying that it happened.

I didn’t catch any vinyl with the hole saw, but the vinyl did get messed up when I drilled my holes, the vinyl was wrinkled like someone pulled on it. I also broke a cup holder during install with my mallet, so I had order more. But all in all nobody will notice but me.

It's possible the stock LEDs are not the dimmable type but the COB LEDs that some have upgraded to are dimmable. I know some LEDs can be finicky with a drop in voltage that a standard dimmer provides.
My apologies if this was already answered, but did anybody confirm if the stock LEDs on the Costco Barrington are dimmable or not, if you buy a dimmer such as this one? Thank you! https://a.co/d/0u5Gvug

Thank you. Was it acceptable and worth it, or not a noticeable/good difference?
Yes. Worth it. Noticeable. You dial it down and nothing happens and then it suddenly goes dim and then off. It jumps from too bright to being dim enough to be playable

Also, I don't know if anybody has ever tried this, but instead of buying a battery pack, I was going to order and try this Rechargeable 12V DC Output Lithium ion Battery Pack. Reviews say they get about 3-4 hrs out of it one charge, and for $23 seems like a steal. If anybody has any experience with this one or something similar they would recommend, let me know. thanks!

I have not tried it but considered. Ultimately decided I expect failure based on past experiences with battery packs off Amazon in general

Yep it’s recommended on this thread along with a dimmer. Setup works for me.

If there was a convenient way to do this with an 18v Makita battery I would do that over AA’s without hesitation.

My kids have a bunch of 12v ride on toys that I converted to DeWalt 20v batteries that step down to 12v. I wonder if the kits on Amazon would work. I used a kit like this: https://a.co/d/9RlbCOr.

I’d imagine the amperage would be a big issue. But I’m not an electrician. Though I do like that solution for power wheels, dramatically speeds them up. Replacing motors isn’t fun but easy enough, and just the cost of using these batteries to increase the fun.

$149 at my Costco, I bought the last 3 they had. Now on to a few mods. Thanks to everyone that has shared information about these.
