I refer to it as Black Cryday.Amazing offering! From what I’ve been reading it’s impossible to “get” one of these Black Friday deals because they sell out so quickly. What have others experiences been?
...rightfully so! It’s never fun not getting what you’re after. Especially sets as nice as theseI refer to it as Black Cryday.
People love to cry on here when they don't get the deal they were after.
I've struck out each sale since Jacks. Been around for nearly 2 years. Tried the practice routines. Paypal open etc. What have others experiences been?
That sucks man ... I've only participated in TCR's HSI sale, but I was able to get most of what I wanted.I've struck out each sale since Jacks. Been around for nearly 2 years. Tried the practice routines. Paypal open etc.
Didn't make the least bit of difference.
My experiences have left me with what's likely a grim view, but for an example, there are probably 3000+ chippers who want a cash set. Any cash set. There will be like 3 to get. The math is unfortunate.
In all my time, planning and clicking for these sales, I got 3 lady luck sample sets. That's it.
Good Luck! Ill still try...
I think that 3000 chippers is an extreme exaggeration. And I think the chippers who want “any cash set” is very low.I've struck out each sale since Jacks. Been around for nearly 2 years. Tried the practice routines. Paypal open etc.

More power to you! Maybe you could order for me.I think that 3000 chippers is an extreme exaggeration.
I think there’s a a good chance if you are after the cheaper used chips, there’s usually plenty of them and they are in lower demand than the minty expensive sets.
there’s certain things that everyone fights over, dirty old RHCs and chipcos usually aren’t on that list.
and I have a different story with Jim’s sales. I’m batting .750 having gotten mostly what I wanted 3 times out of 4 I have tried, and that one I struck out on, I knew it was a long shot.
If that's that only thing you're going for you'll get it...Just want to checkout with a minty set just once. Lol!
EDIT : HSI sec cash set...and ill pay you a nice fee for landing it for me....NO JOKE
I want some $1s too, but i feel i may well get those on my second goIf that's that only thing you're going for you'll get it...

My 3000 is not extreme IMHO. There are 7000 users. I'm estimating less than half will shoot for something.
Agree about used stock, trouble is, I only seem to want mint. That's on me though and I cant expect there to be enough to go around.

My vote goes to the Sec $1. Second from the top. The sec $1A looks okay too.Which $1 chip will go best with these Derby Gran chips? Will label over the $1s:

It is the way....
Oh lawd! It's a job I'd prob pass on, because I'm slammed, but Jim was nice enough to send me a few samples to test mill, and the white alt 1s are millable with a bit of work. View attachment 579081
That would make a delightful limit set....
OK, so just went back and compared the HSI $1 to a normal RHC chip:
So, I am not convinced that an un-laminated label would not cause spinners. I think the only way to find out is to try one (I only have laminated labels from Gear). But if the depth of this recess is the same as a normal RHC, I do not believe that the smaller inlay's edges would be able to be felt through.
- The inlay of the HSI is smaller; there's no doubt about that. The extra white around the smaller label is chip. It's not laminated.
- I ran my thumb over the area where the smaller inlay meets the chip material, and although I can tell there's a change of materials there, I now believe that you would most likely NOT feel this under an over-label.
- However, upon inspecting the entire area of the inlay+chip material, I still believe that this might be a hair less deep than a normal RHC.
@TheChipRoom
Is there any way you can approximate how many chips will go into SFRB? MFRB? LFRB?
Having even a rough figure on this can help me key in on the quantity to shoot for.
Thanks again for all you do Jim.
Just trying to nail this interpretation. So if HSI 1s were to be re-labelled, should the smaller inlay be removed? Or are you stating that overlabelling will work fine?
- For the last part, I didn't compare it to a "normal" RHC but I can state for a fact that an unlaminated (Gear) label is thinner than the height difference (i.e. if you placed your finger in the middle of an over labeled chip and ran it to the outside of the chip you would notice a distinct rise in height when you reached the outer mold).
Shipping to Canada is about weight. Small Flat Rate box holds 4 lbs about 133 chips. Medium Flat Rate Box holds 20 lbs. about 800 chips. Large Flat Rate Box is also 20 lbs max.@TheChipRoom

CorrectJim told me 10 boxs (racks) fit in MFRB
