Pretty much. Sometimes you need to take a blade and cut off the clear coating or you'll melt thru the chip.... Each mold and chip acts a bit differently when ya fiddle with them.
These 7/8"?

And, have you tried to get them off without milling? (not your thing, I know...)

Who’s planning on getting the chipco $99 HSI tourney set? Anyone have thoughts on that set or chipco in general?

For the HSI tourney set, do the 25s and 100s face edges look faded? Is that sign of how much they were used?

you can tell for the HSI chipcos everythign but the 5's are casino used by the fading and edge circle wear

Secondary generally means unplayed and held back as a second set if the first set is compromised.
@Boother36 got a new chips from the HSI set and even though the chip was mint, it had a rack check score across the label... There's a 1:10 chance of getting a chip on the outside of a barrel and thus prone to a rack check mark. A mark can be cleaned off with a magic eraser.... Boother's was scored into the label, IIRC.

If you're getting for a set, order 5% more than you need, just in case.

Are there any noticeable differences between Chipco and SunFly?

Definitely noticeable. I like some ceramics and not others. Chipco and BG are the only ceramic blanks I've really liked. BG is pretty scarce since they only do casinos. They all have a unique feel. Chipco are weighted perfectly and handle well. They don't get sticky as easily as some of the others.

However, when they do wear out quicker than clay. Once they wear out, they get faded and don't handle as well. The HSI Chipco's don't list the condition and pictures are vague. Hard to tell if they're in decent shape.

I’m trying to convince myself that I don’t need this set...... would just want to track down a barrel of the primary $100s as I like them better.

Would also need to track down some fracs and potentially over label the set.
