I’m trying to convince myself that I don’t need this set...... would just want to track down a barrel of the primary $100s as I like them better.

Would also need to track down some fracs and potentially over label the set.

Same here. Thoughts of buying this set plus several hundred more $1s (and then someday find / make some fracs) to have a set
that could be used for either Limit or No Limit. Do I really need MOAR Chips? HSI fracs may be too hard to come by

Call me an old school 70s & 80s curmudgeon if you wish, but drum samples, Autotune, & robotic time-alignment make me want to puke. (which may not actually be such a bad thing the day after Thanksgiving come to think of it.... so.... thanks for that too. :D )

We need a revival of musicians that can play their instruments, drummers that can make a song live with some feel....

...and for the love of all that's Holy..... Singers who can hit a note without Autotune!!!!!!

@TheChipRoom you'll undoubtedly be busy later on, but in the case of the below, would there be a way to stop automatically shipping, and arrange an alternate option after the sale?

For the HSI ChipCo WSOP Sets, are they new or used? How used?
For the HSI tourney set, do the 25s and 100s face edges look faded? Is that sign of how much they were used?

Spotting the wear on a ChipCo is relatively easy... just inside the classic "white outer ring" is usually always a thin line and/or the face design print out to that point will be very sharp & distinct. Even in the pics of these sets it becomes obvious once you notice what you're looking for. Even if the face up chips aren't really close-up shots.

Compare the two T500 WSOP chips in this crop of the pic....

HSI_WSOP_T500.png
Notice there's almost no thin blue line (no pun intended) around the outer edge of the chip on the left, & the outer edge of the solid blue areas are a bit "feathered" vs. the chip on the right. The one on the left appears to have more wear than the one on the right. In the specific case of those two 500s, camera angle may be coming into play somewhat so it's a bit harder to judge than others

On the whole, for both sets....

WSOP T25 set: The T25s, T100s, & likely many, if not all, of the T500s look to be in decent shape with maybe some but not excessive wear. While the T1k & T5k chips have a decent bit of wear to them.

T5 HSI House Set: All the denoms except the T5s look to have a good bit of wear to them. (which is likely reflected in the price) Not unusable mind you. But, certainly have seen a fair bit of use. (The T1k seem to be in worse shape than the T100 & T500)

Given what's been posted about how & when they were used, that would all make a certain amount of sense.

Chip shufflers (a crime of which, I'm as guilty as anyone) are the bane of a ceramic's existence. :D

Are there any noticeable differences between Chipco and SunFly?

Most notably..... Sun-Fly have very glossy rolling edges.

Question for anyone who's ever tried to do this from their phones:
If I click buy and I have PP app on my phone, will it go straight to the app?
(...or do I have to log on in a browser?)

Mine goes to the PP browser. I recommend you log into PP before the sale starts so it’s ready to go.

can you clarify the breakdown on the Chipco wsop sets?
So, for a tournament chip newbie like me, how do you run the tournament (starting stacks, blinds, etc.) with this awesome set?

& since I've fielded this one a couple times already as well.....

(NOTE: If you want to take this as an excuse/defense of Jim & TCR feel free... It's kinda how it's intended)

Are the tourney set denom breakdowns perfect?.... no... but then, it would have been extremely lucky if that were to be the case.

Consider the ultimate source here.... it's not like Jim ordered the individual denoms. He had to take what he could get & try to come up with sets that make some kind of sense.... or at least as close as possible without too many strays leftover.

So, if you're considering, for say, a single table tourney w/10 players.... (assuming T5 base starts at 10/20 & T25 starts at 25/50)

WSOP Sets: If you start 200BB deep you're going to end up needing to leave 20 T500s on the table to cover the last 10k of the chips in play (if you get to the point where you'd want to color-up the T100s). If you start 100BB deep then you won't need the 10 T5k at all (unless you're doing rebuys).

HSI House Set: This one makes more sense as a rebuy set since it's more top-heavy. With no rebuys, even at 200BB deep the T1k chips don't really even need to come into play (except for one). With rebuys & 200BB deep you have up to 8 rebuys covered with your top 2 denoms. (2k x 18 stacks = 36k in play of 37.5k total)

So you think that 1 for each would easily cover 1 10 person table with some re-buys?

depends..... how loose are your players? :D

Neither of the WSOP sets are doing rebuys at more than 100BB deep (total of top 2 denoms is only 90k - 10 players at 5k stacks is 50k... so you could cover 8 rebuys - more than that & you'll need to keep using T500s on the table - not that it's a bad thing, you only have 50 of the top 2 denoms anyway.)

The House Set has rebuys covered easily. Even at 200BB deep. (but they do look more worn in general)
