Yep, just ordered a couple of barrels. :) The pictures after the first picture did them way more justice, IMO. So I got some of both.

IMHO ..if you like splashing colors Aria's 1s or 3s chips go well with IOC 5s perhaps its harvesting time only issue is that they are house molds

yes i missed on the IOC 1s and now regret just not picking up the cash set, probably would of missed on those also

Well as someone that tried to buy the micro cash set, but got the regular cash set luckily, I can tell you they were all sold out within seconds

I think my mix will be blue Agua Caliente as quarters, white Horseshoe Cincinnati $1's for....well.....1's, IOC 5's, HSI 25's and 100's

I didn't know about this kind of sale until recently, and had no idea how the sale worked and decided to try it last night.
No idea when I will get a shipping notification, or if I did it right, but I hope to make the next sale for some cool stuff!

I just ordered about 6 barrels of $1's and $5's, taking the plunge for Paulsons while I can - quite excited even as I sit around a bit waiting on delivery of some samples... :)

I made a small order of all three variations for the HSI $1's to see if they would mix-in well with a current set I put together a long time ago. Depending on how that goes, and how the IOC $5's look. I may end up building an entirely new set lol.

With Jim being on the road, I'm not sure when the chips will ship out. Also, he may end having something in this new shipment that I will like. So, things are going to get interesting here soon.

Placed an order and got the bulk of my limit set. I'm just waiting on the Cinci $25's from The Chip Exchange to finish it off.

My Impressions

PRICE:

In short, these prices can't be beat. For under a dollar a chip these days you can't expect much. New Paulson's? Heck yeah, sign me up!
Isle of Capri $5 chips - $.99
Horseshoe Southern Indiana $1 - $.60

Condition:
Isle of Capri $5 chips - New. Sharp edges. Perfect in every way.
Horseshoe Southern Indiana $1 - New. Sharp edges. Warped.

Looks:
Isle of Capri $5 chips - BOLD and beautiful! I think this is a pretty amazing chip. My pic doesn't do these justice but these are just straight up salsa goodness. You'll either love them or hate them, but I definitely love them.
Horseshoe Southern Indiana $1 -
Simple and classy. The 418 edgespot is great for a workhorse chip in a limit set and they look great in stacks. The inlay color matching is spot on and the simple artwork wraps the whole thing up in to a very solid chip.

Overall:
Isle of Capri $5 chips - If you like the colors, these are a steal! They stack like bricks and are still factory chalky. It's hard to ask for anything more from a chip even at double the price.
Horseshoe Southern Indiana $1 - Short answer, Satisfied. Long answer... I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed opening each box. The warping issue was the first thing I noticed. I didn't read this thread all the way through and missed the few posts that would have indicated this was as prevalent as it is. Every barrel in all 20 boxes wobble. When the ad says "New" I imagine chips to be like the IOC $5 I received. These are technically 'new' so they are as advertised, but can't be called mint. Not looking forward to the work that is going to be needed to flatten them. However, at $.60 each they are still worth the cost, I just wish I would have known going into my $1200 purchase what to expect.

FWIW, I tried flattening them by putting them under a hardwood plank and put close to 150lbs on top of them at room temp for 2 days. This didn't do anything to resolve the issue. I am going to have to heat, clamp and cool all of them. :vomit:

Love me some limit poker though and can't wait to get these into play!
I didn’t realize those chips were warped too. I suppose it’s possible that Paulson screwed these up or the casino messed them up, but I guess we have to assume that the oil drum storage is responsible? They’re like big round ovens is stored in the heat.
I wonder if they were stored that way for a while, prior to chiproom pickup?

I didnt know he was on the road, shows how much I know lol

Is there a schedule for the next sale?

Was it verified that the IOC $25's were sold out? If so, the link is still up and if people are ordering Jim is going to have to do some refunds.

Not sure. He literally just picked up the chips yesterday I think and is driving them back as we speak. It's amazing because he's not even home yet to even check out the chips, and the "On the road again" thread is at 13 pages already lol.

I have a couple racks of the hsi 1A and haven’t had any noticeable warping. Either I got lucky or I’m not sensitive to it.

if you try to order them, at checkout it says sold out. Maybe there is under a barrel left, but i tried down to a single barrel and it said sold out.
I am sure Jim hasn't had time to disable the link due to his road trip.

@RivieraDanny has a couple of racks for sale in the classifieds.
i have two extra barrels that are killing me just looking to finish off the rack if i get another rack then i am back at the same point two orphaned barrels
i would be more than happy to split a rack with anyone i would even cover the re shipping costs

Playing a little coffee table cash game with the kids :). I am absolutely destroying them. These chips are so great, I ended up ordering some more IOC 5s and $1a from Jim to combine with some HS Cincinnati secondary 25s and 100s. I need to figure out fracs and storage next.
