Dammit you people, I was going to skip this sale, and now I'm considering the Gemaco Tropicana. The question is primaries or secondaries... In general the secondaries are only 10¢/chip more for new chips. If I end up having to relabel a lot of the primaries due to damage, it's gonna cost more than a dime per chip.

Plus if there's potential damage to the body of the primary chips too, not just the labels, do I need to order more than I need in order to have enough left over after sorting out the bad chips?

Almost feels like I should just go secondary.
I liked the secondaries too, but the 500 was sold out. The primary 1000 (which looks like a secondary ) was sold out too.

Fortunately(?) I'm not baller enough to need $500s or $1000s, or not interested in a T25 or T100 set that would need a T500 or T1000. I'll probably do like @TX_Golf_N_Poker and make the snappers into quarters.

I will pick secondary over primary at that price every time. It not even close

I will have scooped a set for myself too if I haven already gotten a Gemaco Opus set

So I decided to go for a secondary single table tournament set, and then I read your post and said to myself, "at these prices I should just throw some $1 and snapper chips onto the order and make it a cash set as well".

So what I'm trying to say here is that this is all your fault  :ROFLMAO:

I tried to get some local guys that have recently started or are interested in hosting games to participate in this sale. Nobody bit. I ordered a Trop cash set anyways and I bet one of them wants to buy it after I bring it as a guest set... lol
I feel your pain. I bought 1000+ just to leave at the community clubhouse for the weekly neighborhood game to get off the well loved dice chips

This sale was the perfect storm for my wallet.

My son is putting on a charity poker tournament early next year for an organization in our community at which we are hoping to get between 80 and 100 people, and as much as I was encouraging him to do this project I knew that we needed to figure out chips for the event (and did not want to go through one of the gaming rental companies). Anyway, I figured the secondary Gemacos would be a good, "efficient" solution for the event and used the chip calculator with a bunch of different starting stacks and taking into consideration other factors. "Efficient"....... WTF......

In the future, if anyone needs to borrow a tourney set for that many people, please reach out to me to borrow this set. Otherwise, it may sit in a closet unused and you too may be spending more than you should.

Anyway, between putting together that tournament set and picking up a Jumers cash set (because of my sickness), it was an expensive Black Friday for yours truly.

Looking forward to explaining the upcoming shipments to my bride. Thank god she loves me (for the moment).

(To add insult to injury, I also picked up 10 sticks of dice (5 of each color). 10 sticks. Any guesses as to how often in the past three years I have had ANY use for dice?

Yeah I grabbed a couple sticks of each color. I've never played craps and have no plans to play craps. But dice are just cool.

How do i know it worked?
Im a little bit nervous as this was the first TCR sale i joined... :ROFLMAO:

If you received an emailed receipt from PayPal, saying "Receipt for your payment to Chip Cage LLC," then your order completed and you are in good hands.

The next step is Jim (and his team) will pack and ship your chips to you, usually by US Postal Priority Mail. If you're in the USA, expect about one week for them to go through the US Postal system.

After you get your shipment, inspect your order to make sure you got everything. Jim and his team are human and sometimes a wrong chip will slip through the cracks, or you may be missing a chip. If this happens, simply DM @TheChipRoom right here on this forum, explain the issue and Jim will take care of it.

The last step is to take pictures of your chips, (preferably in action) and post them to the appropriate thread. You may think this last step is silly, but it's more important than you think.

Anyway, congrats on your chip purchase. Welcome to the community.

May I suggest.......

After your tournament, consider keeping them for the next year's tournament. ;)

You can also consider selling them right here on the forum. Usually, chips will sell, especially if you price them at the same price you bought them. Then, you will have "rented" them at the net price of whatever your shipping cost is.

Or, price them 5¢ below TCR price if you want to really move them fast.

By transitive property (or would that be commutative?) it’s definitely @TX_Golf_N_Poker ‘s fault! :ROFLMAO:

Hey PCF community... what a re the best racks for my new Paulsons? Chipco? CPC version 1? Something else?
I found that chipco racks do fit mint Paulson RHC absolutely snuggly. However, if you have any 43 mm chips, my advice is to go with the Apache Matsui clones since they are covered and don't put any pressure on the chip and can fit both 39 mm and 43 mm at the same time.

Ya I’m on my fourth order ( mostly bc I messed up trying to submit my order too quick). But either way, happy with the purchases from my first @TheChipRoom sale!

Hey PCF community... what a re the best racks for my new Paulsons? Chipco? CPC version 1? Something else?
Mint Paulsons stack 66.7mm per 20, so that’s what you want to get. Whether they’re paulson branded or unique brand or whatever - get 66.7mm racks.
These should do
https://spinettisgaming.com/collect...ay-clear-acrylic-for-39mm-chips-66-7mm-insert
Or these used ones
https://spinettisgaming.com/collections/chip-dealer-trays/products/paulson-chip-tray-for-100-chips

How do these new ones from spinettis compare to unique racks?
I don’t know that I’ve ever done a side by side comparison, but I’ve used both and never had complaints about either. But it’s possible that Spinettis changes vendors from time to time, so I wouldn’t really rely on any reviews anyway. But if they say it’s it’s 66.7, I’d believe them and that’s mostly all that matters to me.
