Collecting vinyl records. People love to see "from a smoke free environment" For added bonus, "pet free environment".
I'm getting deja vu here to when my daughter, Zelda was born. All the nurses under a certain age would come in and say "Ohhh, Zelda! Like the video game?" and then the other half of the nurses over that certain age would say "Ohhh, Zelda! Like Zelda Fitzgerald? "

Yeah. Just like that.

But what’s the scrub donkey equivalent for someone scraping out hooker juice and cigarette smoke of an 86 Oldsmobile?

I can’t imagine vinyl records get picked up in trashed condition- seems like the precise nature of the needle would prohibit that, but I’m sure it’s a YouTube rabbit hole I’ll fall down later tonight.

A couple of barrels of used primary snappers arrived along with a secondary sample.

Not sure what to do with them or if the secondary is better looking. The primary is gorgeous.

Buy first, ask questions later.

(One dirty alongside one cleaned barrel plus a comparo shot pictured.)

I wonder in what other hobby or collecting group "no cigarette smell or anything" is considered a huge bonus for items of value?
I would think most of them. I've seen baseball cards and comic books advertised as coming from a smoke free home. Other things too that I'm just not thinking of at the moment. Who wants collectibles that reek of cigarette smoke?

Dibs/interest if you decide to sell 'em. Just sayin'.....

If you are relabeling to a different denom, I think the secondaries make a better frac and the primaries a better high dollar tournament chip like a 5K.

I've read some comments in the forums about chips with rack marks. Is it better to store a mint set in racks or in boxes? Looks like Jim shipped my Jumer's secondary chips to me in the casino boxes.

The marks people are talking about are the rack check marks. It's usually when someone at the cage drags a single chip against the faces of the barrels in a rack to check that they're all even. I don't think you can expect to get any of these types of marks just from storage in a rack vs. box.

Just FYI there's also been discussion about marks from storage in racks. See this post from @Tommy from a couple years back. I still use regular racks and havent noticed anything, but I know several people have changed to the Matsui (later Apache) style racks to avoid potential issues with long term storage in regular racks.

My point is that for most, it's an expectation... not a bonus. If you're selling me a Mantle rookie card that's in VG+ condition, but then it smells like cigarettes, we probably differ on condition and at the very least, I'm very turned off.

If you're selling me a barrel of PCA $500 primary that are in VG+ condition, I don't blink at the stench of cigarettes, I guess because they're poker chips? So when you say "no cigarette smell on these!" I think, "oh, BONUS."
