SOLD Black Friday Sale (1 Viewer)

Very good feedback and suggestion imho.
This comes up every time. People need to remember that he is selling the chips to help him deplete his store of chips. There are many more 25s than would make it possible for him to sell cash sets. Also, there are never enough high denom chips to make good tourney sets. Thus he sets the % based on what he has. It is what it is. Usually you can trade some after the sale to get a decent set though.

Decisions decisions…

Not sure if you reading the same previous sales as me thou since inflation just mean a raise in price  but I believe you

That aside, I think the biggest change that I dislike is the % on the $5 dropping from 40 to 30.

It is going to hurt the accessibility of getting a 500 chip set of

$1 x 200
$5 x 200
$25 x 80
$100 x 20

like past usual sale. You will be committed to buy 667 in order to order 200 $5 in the first hour

So one will need to get extra $1 used (basically at face value ) in order to hit the 667 requirement
No, you don't have to get extra $1s. Get extra $25s and $100s then sell what you don't want.

Buy 700 chips

$1 x 200 - 28.5%
$5 x 200 - 28.5%
$25 x 180 - 26%
$100 x 120 - 17%

All percentages within the limits, and now you have exactly an extra rack of $25s and $100s that should be very easy to sell.

Has anyone made one of those excel spreadsheets with percentages for this sale yet?
Just take one of the previous ones and edit it for the differences. Will take you about 5 minutes. I just keep adding a new tab on every time there is a new sale, copying from the last one.

Anyone think there will be a lot of interest in the Tropicana Gemaco chips? I don't have a set yet of any casino level plastic chips and these are kinda grabbing my (cheap ass) interest.

How easy are these to murder and relabel? Thinking of turning the snapper into a quarter and the $500 into a $20.

If only more people can understand the dilemmas of overseas chipping :confused

Options of re-selling them are not very easy

Closely watching the answers to these questions!

If these are truly Gemaco V1's (the cheaper version with square edges) then I they're the chips used at the casino in Aruba I played at. They are prolly VERY easy to relabel since the "inlay" looks to be just a sticker. I wasn't super impressed with them when I played with them though.

Yeah, sorry. Wasn't looking at it from that perspective. Is your reshipper another PCF member? Maybe they can help in exchange for making a little profit on the resales.

i'm actually curious how much it costs to receive a MFRB from US to US addresses. So used to spending $85 :(

@Tommy reviewed them in THIS thread. There is some discussion there about comparing them to other Gemaco chips. I think he said that they are different from the Aruba chips.

I should have clarified that I was referring to the ones used at the Ritz Carlton on Palm Beach not the Raddison ones.

Mint plastic will be easier to murder compared to Paulson from experience, can’t be sure about the used chip

It ok, no hard feeling

PayPal address are tied to the Credit card country address so I can’t really change to a US address (at least that what PayPal tell me when I try to change to a US address)

Love the lemonade chip too.

@TheChipRoom

Are the Elsinore 2s sorted based on condition from the main sale or are the superior condition ones a separate batch entirely? Are the used 2s mixed inlays? Are the 4s the same as in the original sale?
Good questions. Hopefully Jim will answer.

The $2s on the right say hex label and VGC. The most desireable I would assume, and so the most expensive.

Chips in the middle says LN (what's that mean?) Round. Are these the ones that are oversize? Can these be murdered without messing up the chip?

If I had to guess, I would assume the 49 cent chips are mixed label. He's probably not going to go to the trouble of sorting out inlay styles on the most used chips.

LN usually means like new
Makes sense. Thanks! Were all the round inlays slightly oversized? If I remember, it seems like some staying inside the typical round inlay area, and some were a bit bigger, but not so big that they overlapped onto the hats.

OK, Tommy just posted a comment with a link to some Gemaco production information.

If you follow the link, it looks like the primary chips are Design Series P with the 30mm decal. These are the series that Tommy reviewed and said he liked a lot.

The secondary chips look like Design Series B. Also with 30mm decals.

Tommy also confirmed in an earlier post that I missed that they can be relabeled (Looks like fairly easily) and that they will take a laminated @Gear label.
