Board Gamers, show us your loot! (10 Viewers)

Just finished my small game room and started a board game collection. Now we can board game, poker, or mtg cube in one place!

Need a new curtain but happy with the room so far

Is that a Kallax shelf? I need some of those sub-dividers for my smaller games! Right now I have two of the pullout canvas crates that I stack all of them in and I hate it.
Yes it is! I've had cube storage from Walmart and Target but the Walmart was too small for alot of games. The one from Target was good but the biggest they made was a 3x3. Can't go wrong with a Kallax and they do sell a few inserts in case you want a door, a drawer, the wine bottle insert (I'm using 2 for small games, dice, sleeves, etc.). Worth the price IMHO

Not all board games i guess, but they are all games in the same closet......just a few classics busted out when appropriate

Pente
Hive
Sorry
Monopoly
Payday
Life
Connect 4
Cards Against Humanity
Grass
Rummikub
Boggle
Scrabble
Yahtzee
Stratego
Risk
Apples to Apples
Balderdash
Aggravation
Jenga

My boss cleaned out a closet and gave me a few of their old games. My son and I learned Gobblet today. I dig this one! I got distracted taking out my phone to take a picture and he actually won the game as I was taking this shot. I put the phone down and looked at the board for my turn and realized it was over.

A father's greatest joy and disappointment all in one. When your young son/daughter defeats you in a strategy game.

Anyone play Azul? Came highly recommended from a friend. Just getting into board games with the family now that we’re essentially quaratined.
I haven't played it yet, but it's very popular! Hope you and the family enjoy it. I'm hoping to get some good family game time in too, and get my daughter to play something besides Apples to Apples Junior.

Azul is good, only issue with it is whomever is to the left of the worst player will probably win. Still fun though, my wife and I play it a bunch

It's good. Quite light, but it's quick and smooth and entertaining.

I finally broke out Funkoverse Harry Potter with my wife last night. All the reviews say it's actually a fun and solid lightweight strategy game despite being Funko and based on pop culture IPs (since those games usually suck). I thought the Harry Potter theme might be enough to pull her in.

Ehhh, not so much. When it was her turn she would basically stare at the board and say "I have no idea what to do." She is not a strategy gamer. Oh well, I'll try to teach my son next, and if he's not into it I'll take it to work for lunchtime gaming.

Just an FYI for everyone, One of the major distributors for boardgames (and comics) has shut down for the pandemic. So if you want a game the only stock is the stuff in the stores already for anything from Asmodee and a few other companies

Terraforming Mars arrived yesterday. I saw it on sale on Amazon and pulled the trigger. I'll probably be playing it solo, at least at first. Anybody else played it? I've read that it's pretty good for 1 player.
