Bourbon Basement Poker (2 Viewers)

Darker looks better to me. I'm also not a whiskey drinker, nor the owner of the set, so my opinion is worth less than the paper its printed on.

I know you are ready to order, and we all love lots of chips; however, I'm not sure I understand the purpose of the "double" chip. If this is just to signify a double board game, wouldn't you only need 1 chip? If one chip is needed, I would think you would want to have it bigger than the rest as well, so that it stands out and doesn't get scooped into a pot. I think this would be better on a dealer button sized chip(maybe not 60mm, but bigger than 39mm)

I could be wrong, as that happens a lot. Again, I love lots of chips, but not a fan of spending good money on something that won't be used much.

Adding to this.... if you decide to make a $2 chip, I think that would be great with the "double" inlay. Just thinking out loud

Jumping in quickly here Mark: Those chips are not like Hi-Low buttons. They are given to the players, one each, sometimes more, and the each player can use that chip at any time during the rotation to call a Double Board PLO. If there's a re-buy, the player gets another DB token.

Gotcha. That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

I did a mockup, adding it here.

Paulo already answered it. In our cash games we play a "HOPES" rotation. The idea is that at any point in the rotation (minus SOHE) you can play the double board token and call whatever DB game that you want. Most guys use it during the NLHE round and call DB PLO. A couple of guys that aren't Hi/Lo fans will use it during the PLO8 round to call something else.

@mike32 house he uses a timer. Every 30 minutes we do a double board. Having the chips mixes it up a little.

I also will occasionally host a Double Board PLO tourney. Everyone gets a double board chip. At any time pre-flop when action is on you, you can play the DB chip and call double board for one hand. If your eliminated and rebuy you get another chip. If your not eliminated, but want to buy a DB chip you may. The money simply goes into the prize pool.

Would you declare double board prior to the deal, or after? I could see where some hands could call for better action on a double board.

After the deal. You get a chance to look at your cards. The rule that I used was that you had to declare double board prior to your action pre flop. Cards are dealt. When action gets to you, you declare double board, then bet/check/raise.

I would like to add one to my sample set if possible....

sounds good. Anyone that wants to add a double board chip to their sample set please send me 2.25 via paypal with your PCF member name in the notes. A 6th chip shouldn't affect shipping costs.

This will need to be done by SUN. morning so that I can get accurate counts to David.

PP on the way.

I mean, I guess you could screw someone over. If you are the button, and it is potted and re potted before you, you could double board it and fold and see if those guys chop the pot. :-). Prevent the big stack from getting bigger???

I've never known a double board to reduce the number of times someone calls "pot". In fact, double boards (in my experience) mean playing for stacks, and hoping you have the best of one.

...but I'm a really bad player

PP sent! Make my sample set a double!(y)

I think you should just order a lot of samples and/or extra sets to resell. This one's going to be popular. Then you can fund another custom set!
