CARDS MOLD SHOWCASE! (3 Viewers)

Got this cash set from Bosco two years ago. This set is the supposed new blanks that have been around her edges and round cornered cards on the mold. The Vegas Poker series set are the ships that have the sharper edges and sharper corners on the cards. The vendor originally sent me the wrong base paint color for the t5000, but they just shipped me the corrected version at no cost.

Also I created a new $100 from using @SeanGecko 's $20 Vector art and revised it some. Love it compared to the previous two versions. Everything else I left about the cash for it. I love that quarter base blue, but I still love that same blue for the edge spot on the $5. I still like the $1 design, just wish the gray was slightly a bit darker, but I've ordered a new batch of $1 and the gray on that one was slightly darker. I'll just use this for extras or replacements then.

Even though I don't really throw tournaments hardly ever, I still wanted a turn it said that would accommodate two-max, or 3 partially full table tournaments. Always much prefer the T100 base structure to use fewer chips and color up much latter in the structure. Plus it's easier counting stacks and pots when rounded to the nearest hundred.

Also thanks to @Kid_Eastwood for the VPS set design to use. Back then the original design printed had very thin white outline, where the T5k are the newer blanks where, even though a bit blurry, the white outline of the revised design is a bit more pronounced. Maybe have that in mine for future orders and know which blanks are used.

This thread needs to get back on track.

Here's my @Johnny5 designed cards mold set. The colors are based on a BCC hotstamp set I used to own (except for the bearclaw hundo). Sadly, I was dumb and sold it off and I don't even have any pictures of it anymore (back in the day I used imageshack to store photos and that shit site purged everything).

Nice set! Where did you find the case?

I don’t believe so. I think when the design was 1st designed they had it say Arias for a few reasons one of then being something to do with the legality. I’m not 100% sure on that though since it’s been a little while.
Yes, and the fact that they were designed in honour of my daughter Aria; hence, Aria’s… it stared off as “ARIA’S PALACE” and that name just didn’t feel or look right, so it was changed to “ARIA’S”. I guess that was a good choice given the popularity of them :D

That Aces hundo is fire, and I love the Golden Eagles nod on the fiver.

Still waiting on these but got a sneak peak! Thanks to @timinater and @chutracheese for help with art and @warma for running the group buy. Also to @SeanGecko for putting a pic of the 43mm card mold in time for me to have them change it for me. Can’t wait.

If you can still change something, you may want to make the texts sligthly bolder.

There is some bleeding visible, especially on the 100. The bottom text is hardly readable and the middle line of the A of Aurora has almost disappeared.

In addition, you probably want to make the text on the yellow chip darker than the other chips. The yellow washes out the silver text. Like this.

Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?

The thing about cards mold that makes it hard to resist buying more is the price. They’re good chips and you can get chips that looks like that set that you love but can’t afford or a set from your favorite casino. I’ve got 2 sets sailing over right now and I still want more lol.

Ok, I understand now.

These will be getting put in play pretty quickly.

Yes, I bet you do understand. Those are great chips. And like @Bill_Man618 said, they are ADICTIVE! I have two sets in hand, including these lovely NCCs. And both cash and tournament Aria's on the way.

But how many others of you have the ULTRA-RARE NCC Yellow dress $20 chip!?!?

What do you like and not like? What's your vision?
Maybe change the $1 or at least the colors. Maybe change the orange chip to a $20, $25 or $1 chip, but not sure if the red $5 and orange will be confused being close in color. The strips on the $5 not be to my liking when translating it to a card mold as in the strips are plain. That might be a deal breaker for me. Well it's just a start and trying to get other people's thoughts.

Hopefully I can get these to make it in this thread. It needs refinement.

If you want a critique, first thing I would say is there is no real progression. Maybe that's not important to you. It just looks like a bunch of cool looking chips that were thrown together in a set with no real cohesiveness. It really wasn't that important for me with my first set. I wanted all the chips to be cool, but that was also a tournament set. On a cash set it's pretty unusual to have a complex spot pattern on a nickel chip. I'd make that one a little simpler.

Are any of these actual mirage colors and spot patterns? I know the $1 is Aria. The quarter is similar to the Aria $20 with different colors. I think it works ok in that spot. Otherwise really just the nickel sticks out the most.

Yeah it was a quick mock up and I choose designs I liked and used http://chipguide.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=NVLVMI&v=88088206 to get the colors.
