Classic poker chips is selling their company?? (2 Viewers)

And a far more user friendly design tool.
@justincarothers has maybe 100-150 premade individual chip designs to chose from so you can build your own custom set. And I’m not necessarily talking the entire set premade, but he has 100-150 random chip designs w blank inlays so you can pick and play etc. and built a set. Also something CPC should consider.

The lower re-sale value of CPCs, in relation to un-altered casino or NAGB (fraud) Paulsons is due to the fact that CPCs are customs (unless they 're not).
Altered Paulsons (inlay/label -wise), even if not murdered, command lower prices.
The more generic and the less personalised, the higher the re-sale price of chips can be.

Presumably, prices for CPCs are going to soar, but I just can't part with any of my children, unless I get homeless.

To some, including me, custom CPCs are the top of the top…the pinnacle of chipping.
Exactly! I think of lot of the negative comments on CPC chips are from people who can't afford a premium custom chip. Using a car analogy, if you want to drive a Pontiac Fiero, go for it, but it's never going to be a Ferrari (no matter how much you say it looks like one). I'm guessing 90% of the people who criticize CPC have never owned them.

I am grateful that CPC is selling custom chips to the public and VERY glad I got my custom order in earlier this year. David Spragg was super patient and helpful to me on what was my very first custom chip order. The resulting product was superb. I'm going to get my final add-ons ordered before he sells the company.

P.S. People who have the money to buy top quality custom chips aren't concerned about resale value. We're going to be gifting them to our heirs.

There has been some interest in my Dragon’s Den set prior and recently, both for Tina’s and CPC re-orders. I’m not interested seeing these as ceramics, but I may consider working with a few people to order a set.

The beauty of this set, is that the spot levels are pretty low (on the cheaper side) and a decent 500-600 set could be sub $3k .

I’m finalizing a V2 that I may also consider to be used!

If there’s more interest, pm me!

I just decided to build a new tournament set and decided on CPC and now see they are closing, DOH! How quickly do I need to get my order in?

You have time! Until the end of April!

You have time. But you also might have a long wait, dependent on the mold rotation, what you pick, the timing of your order vs the run of the mold, etc.

Woah, woah, woah… who said anything about closing? David certainly didn’t.

I keep seeing that word a lot here… It’s a possibility, but not a certainty.

Take care of yourself and order, just in case, but hopefully we get some good news that Davids sold the business.

Also the long lead time. Consumers want what they want now. When looking at the spending thousands potentially then being told it could be 6 months to year before you get it will push away even more people.

When I was buying my limit set I originally planned for it to be a CPC set, but a 6+ month lead time depressed me. I had it from BR Pro in less than 3 weeks.

Perhaps more in stock premade sets/racks will be something for the potential new owner to look into. Impulse buys are hard to make when you can’t get it the next day. In the world of same day delivery from Amazon and other online retailers long lead times are a sales killer.
Good point on lead time being a detriment.

Did you make a thread on a V2 interest? I’ve loved this set you created and have been surprised people like yourself that can design cool sets like this never did a group buy.
