so MSK was kind enough to make us 4 different prototypes changing only the shades of the base color. The darkest shade is the original base color of what was included in @p5woody 's mockup art, the rest are lightened versions. That green edge came out much better than I was anticipating, in my opinion but because of their generosity (which I greatly appreciate) we now have another discussion of which shade of gray to use? (in b4 50 shades of gray puns).

I think the plaque #3 (3rd down on pic showing edges) looks the best in terms of the gray. Let me know what you guys think, also for those who may have been waiting on prototypes before making a decision on purchase, let me know if you would like me to include you in the excel sheet.

edit: pics with numbers to help with decisions. Also, they told me on one of the plaques there is a white blurry spot and not to worry about it as it is fixable. I can't see which plaque or where it is, but if one of you with better eyes sees it, don't worry lol.

EDIT: requested additional pics to get the edge colors in as well. Figured some may want to have a better idea of how each shade looks with the green edge. Overall, you guys made a great decision in going with green. Looks great!

Got you added, set your max to 10 for now just to get an idea. Once we finalize final base color, I'll be sure to ping all those that showed interest to get final quantity so be on the lookout for that. (y) :thumbsup:

Darn these are great. You starting to suck me in..... I wonder what these look like in regular incandescent light vs a camera flash. More contrast = better visual detail. I wonder if they can provide a pic of these next to the other $5 plaque?

Doing white would cost an additional setup fee unless the whole group changes their mind and wants white. I can ask my contact for pricing info if you would like me to so you have an idea of costs. Let me know.

I'm definitely open to changing edge color if everyone likes. I believe the poll allows to change vote so if you guys wanna use that you may or please speak up as I would hate for @justsomedude to put down the money for the setup fee only to have everyone wish they had white.

Sticking to transparency as well, I wanted to mention that I have a few things coming up in July. My sister is having a wedding, then the weekend of the 16th after the wedding I am heading to Vegas to attend EVO (fighting game tournament/convention). Only reason I'm mentioning this, not to rush decisions or the order, but just so you guys are aware in case all decision making extends the process into that time frame.

So I did a quick tally on my lunch break between #3 and #4 and #4 is ahead by one vote. (I put a mark down for each number you mentioned. If 3 or 4 wasn't mentioned I tallied you a vote for 3 as I figured you wanted the darker of the two). Let me know your thoughts. I'm wanting to get base color finalized by end of day Sunday. If you would like me to re-tally please give me feedback with base color of your choice between #3 and #4. Plan is to send finalized info to MSK Monday. Get a final quote by Tuesday and then start finalizing quantity so we can open payments up and maybe have order in by end of month. I would like to get these bad boys into your guys's hands by end of July early August, but again no rush at all.

@justsomedude I said screw it late last night and sent a request for info on setup fee for white edge since as it stands, majority seem to want green edge. Because of the late request though I won't have a response I'm guessing until Sunday or Monday night. If you would like me to handle this with you via PM, let me know and I'll get back with you once MSK gets back with me.

@justsomedude I have semi good news. I got response saying and I quote "as for the extra edge color. I may be able to do it at no additional cost. Just give me quantity of color when ready" so although it wasn't a definite yes, seems like a plus.

Finally, after retallying the votes, we are split down the middle. I flipped a coin and it landed on #3 for base color. So I'm going with #3, any objections please speak up.

All that being said, tomorrow after I get off work, I will update OP with names and ping everyone with there minimum amount of interest shown. We can begin finalizing quantity and go from there.

Oh and @p5woody I'm getting you 2 plaques on my dime shipping included. I feel an artist should have his work in physical form as well. Just confirm what color edge you prefer. Thanks again!

I would vote four over three by a small margin.

I would vote white over green by a bigger margin.

Number four with a white edge would look hot.

After reviewing a bit more, I definitely prefer #4 over #3. I'd like a darker gray, but the higher contrast just seems so much sharper.

Additionally, I also prefer the white edge over the green. I wanted to like the green, but the white edge goes so much better with the gray plaque.

Save the green edge spots for the green hundred that you'll do for the next GB...
