Go back...I added a challenge
By the same virtue, cards don't need indices either. We should just use the old style cards. If you can't identify the rank of cards just by looking at how everyone else is playing them, you should quit poker.

Make a bet of 750 using 3 different colored chips
Like what was thought process here. Could have left the green as 25 then all other denoms x10, reds 50, blues 500, blacks 1000. Still begs question what game were you playing that these values made senseI seriously challenge anyone to remember this color/denomination combination I encountered in a T25 tourney. My hands are small10 chips does not constitute a shuffle stack. A shuffle stack is a barrel. If the chips can't be shuffled into a barrel then they aren't worth shuffling.
My hands are smallI can only comfortable shuffle 18

The one time upNdown complained for a good reasonUNACCEPTABLE
I'd vote for upNdown for president. Well maybe not that far, but I would ABSOLUTELY vote to put him in charge or something. Idc if it's the PTA or HOA or city government, it'd get better with a little bit of uNd.The one time upNdown complained for a good reason
which is FU***ING CRAZY.Custom-theme relabel sets appear to mostly be a thing of the past outside of like two LA members and that is muff cabbage.
(I'd say that's not controversial but seeing as they're just not happening, it has to be to some extent.)
I'd love to do a custom paulson relabel set. I'd need a tournament set, and the darn yellow/orange chips in bulk, decent condition, and decent price (I am cheap MF'er) are darn near impossible. Especially when you need about 2000-2300 chips to make the set "playable"which is FU***ING CRAZY.
Everyone goes on about “I could make the best set if I could order from Paulson”.
Like bro. There’s hundreds of thousands of chips out there. You need 3-6 denoms. Use existing chips and build an all time great cohesive set.
My top 20 fav samples or sets include probably 10 relabel sets. I wish other creative and customs folk like Quicksilver, kifer, eloe, jeep, etc. had a strong relabel phase.
I’m not googling muff cabbage.
I’m not googling muff cabbage.
Just when you think people are crazy for paying Tiger Palace prices, Rio WSOP chips scream ‘Hold my Beer’. Freaking insane!
That's effectively the standard Vegas color scheme which is why it's used so frequently.Yellow frac blue 1 red 5 green 25 black 100. Subjectively I can’t stand this color selection, and is why I threw away my first tiger set immediately after using it once -
And just to put my money where my mouth is, I’ve already purchased sample and DB to support the nagb efforts. Maybe the chips in person will blow me away, but I don’t see the use.As with every nagb, everyone will have an opinion and repeat it ad naseum.
I don’t want to post in the buy thread, so I’ll ask the question here. It’s early, so my mind can be changed. But I’m SUPER curious what people think.
I never bought an nagb. AS and boat ones in general were pretty cool. I like their look a lot, but just never thought of purchasing any.
Then there were the ones like the SBs. Which looked like they were made explicitly as individual chips to be desired and murdered for use.
Lastly, something like RPC and Tiger which looked to be made to be used together as they were sold, and these scratch my itch a touch more than boat chips, but that’s just personal difference in tastes. (Oh and I LOVE BTPs too!).
Long story short, I see the point of all of those and the intent.
These I’m very confused on. The set as it is looks…..like something I would make in my first chipping years. Yellow frac blue 1 red 5 green 25 black 100. Subjectively I can’t stand this color selection, and is why I threw away my first tiger set immediately after using it once - lifelong poker players kept almost making wrong bets and miscounting stacks at first glance due to the mishmash (and that was just with yellow fracs, not the blue 1s).
Spot progression for every set makes no sense, but maybe I can be corrected here because I don’t necessarily have an eye for design.
Okay, so maybe I’m right. The cash colors don’t make sense, the spot patterns clash, etc. But the colors! Look at that bright trimoon, 8v blacks, etc. They’re built to be murdered!!! Okay…..then why the f**k are they hotstamps? Don’t they have to be murdered to be useful then? Or can you over label an intact hotstamp (most people’s choice to retain chip value)?
They don’t appear to be used as is, and they don’t appear to be built to be split and reused.

Now the price point I can get behind! $560 per rack for the cash set. That’s not small by any means, but not huge either. I guess the price point makes these a bit more likely to be murdered and utilized.
Regardless, I’m ALWAYS a big fan of MOAR chips to the market and thankful to the chip vault for bringing them, as I am with Jim, Ken, etc. I may even be a buyer! But…..definitely not personally in love, and more to the point, I just don’t get the point.
Maybe design choice was limited, but these to me look like a casino made them, not a chipper/designer.
Ah! Than I’m wrong! That's effectively the standard Vegas color scheme which is why it's used so frequently.
You might not be able to stand that selection, but it's tradition.
Understood.. In reality, it is more likely that Angel discontinues the use of the THC.The most disappointing news here is that they are limited edition.
I was hoping for a situation where someone finally got Angel to crack and allow a continuous flow of chips.
Imagine a world where mint THC can be had in unlimited quantity for $3/chip or whatever it is.
I asked a couple folks on this. I get it that a Blue $1 is becoming more popular in Vegas. That's effectively the standard Vegas color scheme which is why it's used so frequently.

RED $5, GREEN $25 AND BLACK $100 ARE EXACTLY WHAT JESUS INTENDED!The set as it is looks…..like something I would make in my first chipping years. Yellow frac blue 1 red 5 green 25 black 100. Subjectively I can’t stand this color selection,
I feel like this color combo is what I have seen many pron shots of on this forum:I asked a couple folks on this. I get it that a Blue $1 is becoming more popular in Vegas.
If I had to take a wild guess, those rooms aren’t spreading .50/.50 games though. There is no frac.
So while blue/red/green/black may be one of two standards (with white 1s being the other and still extremely prevalent), introducing the Blue $1 while also having stacks of yellow chips and in the splashed pots just screams issues (just to me, because almost every chip set I see with Blue and Yellow has them as 1s and 5s).
Maybe everyone else’s games are either 1) more sober or 2) just use to it, but imo yellow/blue/red/green/black is a mix of 2 historical standards that doesn’t play well.
IM NOT DISAGREEING.RED $5, GREEN $25 AND BLACK $100 ARE EXACTLY WHAT JESUS INTENDED!
